My pen name comes from an incident where I was living in rented accommodation and overheard the landlady's husband refer to me as "the Artful Lodger upstairs." When I stopped laughing, I adopted it as my online alias.

A note on my fandoms: I prefer not to get into arguments about which Doctor was better, whether Heisei-era or Showa-era Kamen Rider is better, etc.

A note on shipping: It annoys me. I tend to write about relationships between characters only if it makes an interesting story in some way - i.e. not "just because" or "they look cute together". If I wanted (for instance) Nami to be in a relationship, it doesn't really matter to me if it's with Zoro, Sanji or Luffy, so much as the effect on the characters. I don't support character relationships just because they are canon, or because they are popular in fandom. So please don't leave reviews asking why I wrote or didn't write about a particular couple.
