There was a time when there was an residential institution that had the name of Letchworth. Letchworth was opened in the early 1900's. Letchworth was not only for the insane, but also for the ill, mentally ill, mentally retarded, and other symptoms, such as polio disease. Letchworth had many acres of land, with over 130 buildings. Thousands of children, elderly people, and even infants would go there. Letchworth village, as it was called, was a very insane place. The staff members/workers would, usually, torture and kill the residents there. Letchworth was closed in 1996, for inhumane reasons. The residents that died there were usually, only known as a number or so on there tombstones.they made history and died. Now, in 2011, it is one of the most haunted places in all of North America...crazy history...LETCHWORTH VILLAGE...HAUNTED!!!
