Author has written 3 stories for Misc. Books, Bonanza, and Chronicles of Narnia. When I first started writing fan fics, I wrote on a lot of topics (naruto, eragon, star wars, etc) all centering around a 16 year old teenager named Karen Turner. I now apologize to my readers from that time period, not for the fact that I deleted the stories some time ago, but that as a Christian, I wrote not a single word in any of my stories that gave glory to Jesus. For some people, this is not something they would worry about, but it cut me to my core to realize that, whether or not you believe in Him, Jesus is returning, and soon, and I have not done one thing on my stories to warn others beforehand. The Bible talks about the signs of His coming: wars, rumours of wars, family members turning against eachother, and earthquakes and other disasters that the world has never seen. I don't care if you don't believe this, but there has been warning after warning of a storm coming. Not a literal storm, but perhaps spiritual or economical or even a war that will hit nation wide, and it really is coming soon. It says in the Bible to "watch for the signs of the times," and those signs are plastered all over the entire world right now. (No, the world isn't going to absolutely end in 2012, but that's not to say something bad won't happen pretty quick.) Anyways, I began to feel it was a waste of my time to write for hours about fictional characters when something real is hitting this world fast. I know some of you may not believe me, and probably think I'm a religous fanatic, but I will not let it be said of me later that I did not give warning to you. Something big is going to happen, and it is going to shake this world. If you are a Christian and believe in the coming of Jesus Christ, you may want to reconsider what you are doing your own life like I am having to do, because He's coming fast. If you don't believe in Jesus, then you really should rethink where you are going with your belief system, because once you die, it's too late. Before you jump to conclusions, being "saved" doesn't compose of a title and a bunch of laws you have to obey. It matters rather what you do with God's Son. If you believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins and was risen from the dead three days later, and you accept His gift of salvation, and "confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, you will be saved." You don't have to be a good person. You don't have to give up everything in order for God to accept you. Some people think that if they become Christians, they have to become perfect and stop doing stuff they think is fun, but it's not that way. If you accept Christ, and understand along the way that some of those things may not be what He wants for you, He won't force you to give them up, but If you let Him, He will help you let those things go, if you let Him show you how much more He can give you by ways of peace, joy, and contentment. But you don't have to give up everything in order to be saved. He accepts you just the way you are. I should know. You don't know how dirty I once was, or how horrible I still can be. But He still accepts me, despite it all, and He will still accept and love you. Jesus said, "My yoke is easy, and My burden is light." What He meant is, He will not make you do something that is to hard for you. Whatever He asks of you will not be more than you can handle. And an even better point? A yoke is made for two. He will not make you do it alone. Whatever He asks of you, He will be right by you all the way, helping you do it. Once again, you may not believe me about any of this, but at least I can hope never to feel guilty again of pouring loads of fictional writing onto this page, instead of warning people of what is really to come. I hope though, that this gave some of you something to chew on during a quiet moment, because you never know if you'll get another chance. If you have any questions, feel free to send me a message or something. To Jesus my Savior be all glory, honor, and praise. |
