Hello! I'm Oogum and I'll be you're author for this fine day. . . yeah, that sounds kind of cheesy. Anyway, I'll tell you a bit about myself before getting to the stories.

First off, I'm not feeling up to telling you all my personal info, so you'll just have to guess. Call me paranoid but I don't believe you need to know my SSN. Just saying. Other than that, I also believe that my day to day life isn't all that interesting so I'll spare you the details. The name Oogum comes from the old song "The Oogum Boogum Song" by Brenton Wood. I just think that saying Oogum Boogum is fun. Go ahead, say it! Now, I can't say this is my favorite song (in fact, I can't hear it more than once a week without getting it stuck in my head), but I can say that it's just one of those "feel good" songs. Also, nobody else had that Profile name.

On to the stories!
As a general disclaimer: I don't anything other than my plot line and the occasional original character. If, by chance, my story starts to sound like somebody else's fanfiction already posted on this site/or others, that was not my intention. Instead of yelling at me via the review button, please tell me what aspects are similar and where the original story is located. I will sometimes follow cannon in the original work but will try to add my own spin upon the story.
I only have a Naruto fic started, but I do have some ideas for some other fandoms. Right now though, I just want to get Forge up and then I'll start working on the others.

For Naruto Fiction:
To tell the truth, I'm not a great fan of Naruto. Most of my info has been gathered off of fanfiction.net or leafninja.com. I found the actual episodes frustrating due to the high filler content. If there is something in the Naruto world that I'm ignoring or forgetting (ex: Naruto wears an orange jumpsuit and I write that he's wearing purple) then please tell me. If I haven't intentionally changed that particular cannon fact, then I'll try to make my fictional world match up with the original.

Forge

Summary:
A shock that disillusions Sakura leads her to re-examine her life and sets her on a path towards maturity and strength that ultimately leads to her integral part of Konoha. Slightly AU and no parings yet.

Author Notes:
A slightly AU story that focuses on Sakura and her path towards adulthood. Since I never really liked the Sakura presented in the show, I want to present a reworking of her character. I will try to keep some of her character traits, but I'm working off the idea that Sakura is a highly analytical girl and she had role models and a supporting family that Naruto and Sasuke never had. The Sakura that I'm creating is more stable than the fangirl that Masashi Kishimoto initially created. As for the story line, I will be following the first few arcs only somewhat. Since Naruto focuses on, you guessed it, Naruto, I find that there's a lot of wiggle room concerning Sakura at first. She will belong to an establish craft/mercantile clan and will also have a supportive and extensive family. Essentially, I'm creating her to be almost the exact opposite to her teammates in an effort to explain the gap that exists between the boys and her in the show. I will be making her be strong outside of her team due to her family and eventually her own kunoichi talents, yet once she is part of the team, she feels weak and useless.
Yes, this is going to be a long story. I can't promise to update frequently nor regularly mostly because I don't have everything written and my muse is sporadic at best. I can't give an estimate to how long this story will be, but I might have to break it into separate parts: pre-time skip, time in between the time skip, and post-time skip. Like I mentioned above, I'm not following every arc diligently, but I know that I will loosely follow the show/anime up until Naruto returns to Konoha in which point, Sakura will be too different to fit within the show/anime's storyline.
