Oh hey!

I'm Lothere. Yes, it's a strange name. With a story behind it. But more of that later...

You might know me from Laki's forum, or some other similar place. But if you don't, here's a little info on Yours Truly:

1. I have a bunny, and I'm pretty much obsessed with them.

2. I play the violin and actually enjoy it.

3. I like computers, and have been called a geek, even though I have EXTREMELY little knowledge of codes. I dabble in BCC and html, but that's about it.

4. I'm a grammar freak. Notice the correct capitalization? Uh-huh.

5. I'm into lists. (Duh.)

6. I love reading, and it never takes me more than three days to finish a book, no matter how thick it is.

7. I loooooove smilies :)

8. My favorite color is blue.

9. I'm a girl.

10. I'm in 7th grade and going into the 9th grade next year. (There IS a difference between a geek and a nerd, you know.)

And if that's not enough info for you, here's some more... STALKER!!

My favorite subject is L.A., and my least favorite is math. Science is good, when we're not learning about something boring (like rocks). History is usually pretty interesting. Probably because my history teacher rocks and my history book rocks even more. I hate gym. Mostly because gym teachers always want you to be "part of the team", and when you don't even want to be "part of the team", they think that something is wrong with you. Art is lovely. We get to make nice things, and the teacher is very flexible. Music... is OK. The teacher is really annoying, and talks to us like we're in kindergarten. But I get to sing, which I like.

I'm tall. 5′ 7″. And being tall in 7th grade can suck. But nobody gives me any trouble about it, because they think I'll stomp on their face if they do. Plus, it gives me an advantage in basketball. I'm not really into sports, but I like messing about with my friends with the hoop in the col-de-sac.

Shopping is fun. I don't like Hollister, because it creeps me out. In fact, I don't even care about the brand name! gasp, gasp, gasp! I just like clothes that look nice and are comfortable. And I love jeans. I have, like, 15 pairs. Not really, but you get the idea.

My favorite movies are Pride and Prejudice, Cinema Paradiso, The School of Rock, and Somewhere In Time. And also The Waltons. I'm not sure if that counts as a movie, since it's really a show. But I have seasons 1-6 on DVD, and they've taken it off the air shakes fist at the sky. But whatever.

I can't tell you my favorite books, because it would take much too long to list all of them here. But I really love the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer, and the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. And everything by Cornelia Funke. But that's just a few. As I've said before, I looooooooooooooooooooooooooooove reading. And writing. I haven't written any novels (yet), but I've written poems, short stories, and essays.

I love animals. Especially the cute and furry type. I like frogs and lizards, too. But not bugs. Not most bugs, anyway. As long as it doesn't bite, sting, crawl all over you, fly in your face, or try to live in or on you, it's OK.
