-Sometimes, the right thing, is the hardest thing in the world.-

Just a little about me:

I am a recent graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. I have always loved reading, and watching movies and television, and well, anything that have good stories.

Favorite Books:

The Chronicles of Narnia - For those of you who have seen the movies, but not read the books, you really are missing out, especially

Prince Caspian. Yes, the special effects and computer animations etc. are cool, but do we have to sacrifice the story for the big screen? I'll take that back, I got a scathing review of The Voyage of the Dawn Treader from my brother who watched in theaters, and as a result never saw it for a long time. It was this movie that didn't follow the storyline. With that being said, please don't stop making them, just make them better. I want to see The Horse and His Boy on the big screen (well all of them).

The Lord of the Rings - The movies are awesome, but I still like the books.

I need to get back to reading more books, I've been watching TV and movies too much...

Favorite TV Shows:

Star Gate SG-1 - I like science fiction. I watched this show since the beginning, when it started back in like 1998. I remember every Saturday night we'd gather around the tube to watch this on the now defunct WB channel. (Yeah we watched it in syndication, we didn't have cable). That is until they just stopped airing it, without word, right in between seasons on a cliff hanger... very disappointing. To this day I'm not sure I've ever seen all the episodes from the last 2-3 seasons. But life went on, and now it's the best kind of show, the kind that you can go back and watch a few episodes here and there without getting obsessed.

Star Trek - I like all of them, but especially The Next Generation and Voyager I used to say that the original was my favorite, until I realized that Kirk commanded a ship of expendable crew members, who died and were forgotten about 5 seconds later in like every episode. Seriously, how did he have a crew left?

Paradise or Guns of Paradise - yeah I know, this show is a little before my time (so is Star Trek for that matter), but I found this show on You Tube one day and couldn't stop watching. I tell you, father/son/child stories get me all the time, and this one is just like the perfect blend of tough guy, father/son, and child hood innocence, everything!

Favorite Movies:

Spiderman and Superman - Yes, I like superheroes. Let self sacrifice, justice, and all that is good win the day. ( I think I enjoy the idea of superman best, because, with his power, he can save EVERYONE.)

Star Wars - A little cheesy in places, and some terrible acting in others, but overall the story's good. And the special effects in the latest three (err first three...whatever) are good.

The Sound of Music - They don't make movies like this anymore. (Especially considering that Hollywood Romances today are "hookups" not romances - an unfortunate reflection of our modern society... too bad, watching people "hook up" is extremely boooring!) Eh well... so The Sound of Music, I just read a comment from somebody who said they'd never seen it before. Really? How can you go through life and never see this movie? It is a classic, I thought everyone watched it on tv at least once a year, kind of like It's A Wonderful Life and The Ten Commandments.

I just got done re-watching the movie Amazing Grace (on 3/17/12) and it seems the more I watch this movie, the more I am inspired by William Wilberforce in his crusade to abolish the slave trade. He is my inspiration, we will AHA.

Most of Him by Elfpen reviews
The battle is over, the day has been won. The Green Death is dead, the three-hundred year long war has finally ended. But even the greatest of victories always come with cleanup, and sometimes it can be rather gruesome. Follows directly after the battle sequence in the movie. Rated for gore.
