Greetings to fan fiction readers one and all!

My name is Giant Nickel, and I am a firm believer that cartoons hold the answer to all of life's questions.

I have been a long-time fanfic reader and even dabbled in writing before I entered that all-consuming, mind exploding, eye crossing, no-way-out black hole more commonly known as graduate school. After countless hours, lost days and nights, and thousands of dollars later, I finally have a very beautiful degree that hangs on my bedroom wall. Sadly, the job market has been very fruitless and I am finding myself living off the charity of my loving parents while I wade my way through the career pool. In the deep end.

Ideally, I would love to be a writer, copyeditor or researcher. My BA in English and my MA in Drama have gifted me with many skills, knowledge and understanding, but unfortunately, it has been difficult to convince potential employers to give me a chance. I actually began writing to help channel my frustration, and the gem of my fics, DON'T FORGET, is the baby that was born of such labor (or lack of labor, actually). In any case, I have taken the opportunity to hone my writing skills and am still stubbornly seeking employment.

I know I'll find it one day.

Now, enough of real life.

Aside from cartoons (of which I am a fan of all varieties) I also enjoy reading. Like most of the known world, I am a proud reader of the Harry Potter series, with Prisoner of Azkaban as my favorite of the seven. Phantom of the Opera, the Percy Jackson series, Jane Austen novels and Peter Pan are included in my all-time favorite pieces of literature.

As far as my writing goes, I confess that I am a fan of canon. All of my works, unless otherwise specified, will be written based on the canoical logic as explained by the creators of whichever works I will be writing about. My interests are vast and my genre of preference is romance, although I do try and put a plot in the story somewhere. All I can really say is that I hope my stories are enjoyed by all who read them, because I truly enjoy writing them.
