Story Descriptions

Where The Heart Belongs: Fire Emblem (ZelgiusxOCxIke)

Our story begins with a funeral, but not just any funeral, it is the funeral of Zelgius' younger brother. The people of Sienne have their doubts that Astin died due to complications from an illness. They think he was poisoned by his mysterious widow, Fay. Meanwhile, the apostle and the Senate have decided to enter the Mad King's War. In order to protect Fay from the judgmental people of Sienne, Zelgius decides to take her with him to Daein. Fay is intimidated and sometimes even frightened by the general of the Begnion army, especially since she suspects that he is keeping a dark secret. On the other hand, there is a side of Zelgius that Fay begins to see the more time they spend together. That is, until he disappears not long after they meet up with the Greil Mercenaries. Fay chooses to remain with the mercenaries, even going so far as to train with them. This will be a love triangle, and I have yet to make up my mind as to who Fay will end up with.

Scarlet Town: The Walking Dead (DarylxOC)

Set in Oregon, 1870. This story will have elements and characters from the series, but the plot is going to differ a great deal (at least as of right now). The story will come first. The zombies will come later. If you have ever seen the movie or the stage show Seven Brides For Seven Brothers, you will recognize some elements of that as well, but they will be pretty minimal. This story centers around Emma Thorne, who finds herself without a place to live and without a job very early on in the story. She is offered a position as a cook and farmhand by Merle Dixon, an outsider with a place of his own up in the mountains. Drama, romance, and zombies ensue... (Zombies appear for the first time in Chapter 19, so if you're looking to skip directly to that part of the story, there is a recap at the bottom of the profile.)

God's Gonna Cut You Down: The Walking Dead (DarylxOC)
[DISCONTINUED]

From the moment Rick lays eyes on Diana King, he thinks she looks familiar. Any outsider could understand why a man would want to recognize Diana. She's gorgeous, intelligent, personable...but she's also a killer. Corinne Crown was running from the law, wanted for multiple murders, until the outbreak offered her a clean slate. Under her latest alias, Diana King, she takes shelter with the Greene family. When a new group comes along, and the sheriff leading them thinks he knows Diana's face, she becomes flighty. Desperate times call for desperate measures, so will Diana choose to take her chances out in the woods, or with the sheriff who is bound to figure out who she is eventually?

When You Say Nothing At All: The Walking Dead (DarylxOC)

Roslyn Gardener was just minding her own business one night, volunteering at the local urgent care center, when she met the Dixon brothers. As fate would have it, Roslyn has several chance encounters with the younger Dixon brother. As news of the strange disease sweeping through the States continues, both she and Daryl are skeptical of just how serious it is...until the disease hits Georgia. As Daryl and his brother head off into the woods to survive, Roslyn is left behind to care for elderly residents abandoned at Peach Tree Nursing Home, including her grandpa. As time goes by, Roslyn finally starts to grasp just how devastating of an effect the disease has had on the world.

Two Against The World: The Walking Dead (DarylxOC)

At the beginning of Season 1, a new character is thrown into the mix: Cheyenne Adams. Cheyenne is a 23-year-old girl from Macon, Georgia with a painful story of her experiences since the outbreak. She joins the survivors' group, and quickly forms a close bond with Carol and her daughter, Sophia. Though she was rescued by Daryl, she can't seem to form a relationship with him. What is his problem? Will he ever come around?

RECAP for Scarlet Town

SPOILER ALERT (this recap is for those who want to skip directly to Chapter 19, so there are spoilers below)

Chapter 1: Emma Thorne has been living with Hershel Greene for the past five years as his farmhand and surrogate daughter. When the story picks up, Hershel has just recently passed away. Emma expected to inherit his farm, but due to the greed of his eldest daughter, Maggie, the bank seizes the farm.

Chapter 2: Emma leaves Hershel's farm for good and heads for Scarlet Town in search of work. She stays with Reverend Horvath and his daughter, Amy, while she searches for work. When her search turns up empty, Emma makes a deal with Carol Peletier, whose husband owns the inn. Emma agrees to cook meals at the inn in the hopes that someone will hire her after they've tasted her cooking. While working at the inn, Emma meets a young man named Clarke.

Chapter 3: Merle Dixon, a landowner from the mountains, samples Emma's cooking and offers her a job on his farm. Despite protests from several townspeople, Emma accepts the job and leaves Scarlet Town.

Chapter 4: Emma meets Sam, Merle's farmhand, and begins working on the farm. Daryl and Emma meet for the first time when Emma falls through the barn loft floor and Daryl catches her. Emma shakes things up on the farm, which annoys Daryl.

Chapter 5: Merle, Emma, and Sam return to town for supplies. While Merle gets drunk at a saloon, Sam tells Emma about his past. After Merle starts a fight at the saloon, Emma forces him back to the farm and gives him a talking to about his immaturity. Daryl and Emma fight, and during their argument, Daryl accuses Emma of having had an easy life. Over dinner, Emma tells Sam about her past. Unbeknownst to her, Daryl overhears her story from outside.

Chapter 6: The annual fall gathering is ready to take place in town. In preparation, Emma teaches Sam to dance. The day of the gathering, Merle decides to join Emma and Sam, while Daryl remains behind. At the fall gathering, Sam takes a liking to Amy Horvath. Emma spends time with Clarke. After supper, Clarke asks Emma to dance. Emma's dancing is too much for Clarke, and he falls onstage. Out of nowhere, Daryl swoops in and begins dancing with Emma.

Chapter 7: After they dance, Daryl and Emma walk together. When Emma asks why Daryl came, his attitude changes and they return to the party without speaking. Lori Grimes, pregnant wife of the town sheriff, offers Emma a job after her baby is born. Emma turns Lori down. Clarke proposes marriage to Emma, who turns him down. When Merle, Daryl, Sam, and Emma stop in town to water their horses, they encounter Maggie Greene. Emma discovers that Maggie has one of Hershel's horses, Barrow, in her possession, and that Maggie and her husband have been beating him. In a rage, Emma attacks Maggie. Emma flees town on Daryl's horse, leaving the others behind. Later, Daryl returns to the farm with Barrow. He tells Emma that he bought the horse from Maggie and her husband. Emma kisses Daryl, who doesn't return her kiss.

Chapter 8: Reverend Horvath invites Emma and the others to Thanksgiving at the Grimes'. Meanwhile, when Emma injures her hand, Daryl cares for her wound. When Thanksgiving arrives, Emma and Sam go into town. Emma buys Christmas presents for Merle, Daryl, and Sam. Sam and Emma go to Thanksgiving dinner at the Grimes', where Lori and Emma speak about the job offer. Lori alludes to the fact that she may die before or after childbirth, and that should she pass, the job offer would still stand.

Chapter 9: Emma receives a letter from the reverend informing her that Lori died after giving birth to a baby girl, Judith. Upon receiving that news, Emma goes to be alone, but Daryl goes after her and kisses her. That night, Daryl goes to the barn. Daryl and Emma have sex in the loft. When Emma is asleep, Daryl finds a letter from the reverend in which Clarke's proposal is mentioned. Thinking Emma is engaged, Daryl leaves the farm for a cabin miles away, with the intention to return in the spring.

Chapter 10: Emma decides to leave the Dixon farm after Daryl's abrupt departure. Sam goes to the cabin to confront Daryl about leaving, but to no avail. Emma leaves the Dixon farm. She stays the night at the reverend's home and learns that Rick, Lori's husband, has been drinking heavily since his wife's passing.

Chapter 11: Emma arrives on the Grimes' farm to find Rick in a drunken stupor. She gives him three days more of his foolish ways, then takes away his liquor and demands he change his ways. Meanwhile, Emma cares for Carl, Rick and Lori's son. Shane, Rick's deputy, comes by to check on everyone. At first, he doesn't approve of Emma's tough love, but he changes his mind after seeing how it has worked to help Rick and Carl.

Chapter 12: Rick refuses to take part in finding a Christmas tree, but he does get out Lori's boxes of Christmas decorations for Emma and Carl to use. On the Dixon farm, Merle and Sam open their present from Emma on Christmas Eve. Sam receives a sweater that Emma knit herself, while Merle gets a box containing three new smoking pipes. Daryl's gift remains untouched. On Christmas morning, Emma watches as Rick and Carl have a tearful conversation before Carl opens presents that Emma went out and got for him. Spring arrives, and with it, Daryl returns home. He is informed that Emma left the farm. At supper, Daryl finds out that Emma was never engaged. When he goes to his house, he finds a sack waiting for him. Inside is his Christmas gift from Emma - a new crossbow.

Chapter 13: Judith returns home after having spent her first few months of life with the reverend and Amy. Emma continues working on the Grimes' farm, growing closer to the family. When spring arrives, Emma returns to the Dixon farm to collect the rest of her things. Sam and Merle are glad to see her, but Daryl is out hunting. Sam reveals to Emma that he plans to ask the reverend for permission to court Amy. That night, Daryl goes to his brother's house and finds Emma asleep on the sofa. He watches her sleep for several minutes, but then leaves. Emma doesn't see Daryl until the next morning at breakfast. Later that day, Daryl asks Emma for a haircut. At first, they get along. Then, they argue. During their argument, Daryl uses the night they slept together as ammunition against Emma. She slaps Daryl, then leaves the farm during the night without saying goodbye.

Chapter 14: In flashbacks, we find out that Shane has been spending more time with the Grimes' and Emma since Andrea, who he had begun courting before Lori's death, has been giving him the cold shoulder. Andrea, in turn, has been spending time with Clarke. Sam came into town and courted Amy for two weeks. He returned home to tell Merle and Daryl about his plans to propose to Amy. Upon his return, Sam finds out that Merle and Daryl built a house for him and Amy to share, since Daryl figured Sam would marry Amy. Daryl and Sam talk about Emma. During their conversation, Daryl comes to the realization that he was wrong for leaving in the winter. Sam returns to town and Amy accepts his proposal. In the present day, it is Sam and Amy's wedding day. Andrea and Emma are Amy's bridesmaids, while Merle and Daryl are Sam's groomsmen. Daryl escorts Emma down the aisle. Sam and Amy are married.

Chapter 15: At the reception, Andrea uses Clarke to make Shane jealous. Shane, in turn, uses Emma to make Andrea jealous. Daryl looks on. Shane and Emma dance while Daryl watches them closely from the sidelines. Andrea asks Daryl to dance to make Emma jealous. Clarke asks Emma to dance. Afterward, Daryl and Emma dance. When the song is through, Daryl asks Emma if they can talk. Daryl apologizes for what he said to Emma when she came back to the farm for her things. Then, he goes on to explain why he left the farm and that it was a mistake. Daryl asks Emma to come home, and tries to kiss her, but she runs away. The next day, Rick worriedly goes to Shane with a note Emma left for him. The note states that she needed to leave for a while. Rick and Shane alert the townspeople, including Merle and Daryl, so that they can search for Emma.

Chapter 16: Emma went to the Dixon cabin to be alone. On her second evening there, someone rides up to the cabin. Emma opens the door to reveal Daryl on the other side. They begin passionately kissing, which turns into sex. The next morning, Emma wakes up alone. Thinking Daryl has left her a second time, Emma flies into a rage. Daryl returns and points out a note he had left for Emma, explaining that he had gone to tell Merle that he found Emma. Emma tells Daryl she has to return to town. Emma goes to see Rick upon arriving in town. While in town, Emma finds out that Amy is ill. Emma confides in Rick all about her relationship with Daryl. Rick tells Emma that she should do what makes her happy, and that if she left to return to the Dixon farm, his family would be all right. Daryl sits at home wondering when he will see Emma again. When he goes to the door to empty a pot that had been collecting rain, he finds Emma on the other side of the door. Daryl and Emma have sex.

Chapter 17: A few days later, Sam sends word that Amy's sickness has worsened, and that she wants to see Emma. Daryl and Emma go to town. Amy asks Emma to take care of Sam should she die. Others in town are also ill, including Clarke. Upon hearing that Clarke has nobody to take care of him, Emma leaves to go and care for him. Daryl tries to stop her, and becomes angry when Emma insists on leaving. Emma finds Clarke in a horrible state. She cares for him for three days. Finally, Clarke passes away. Emma goes to fetch the doctor and coroner, but faints. Daryl, already on his way to Clarke's apartment to tell Emma that Amy has died, hears of Emma's fainting and rushes to her side. Daryl decides not to tell Emma about Amy until after she has rested. Daryl takes Emma to the inn, where they have sex.

Chapter 18: Amy has been buried and Sam has returned home with Daryl and Emma. Emma has begun sleeping on Merle's sofa to be closer to Sam, who has nightmares. Weeks later, Andrea arrives on the farm with news from town. The people who died from the strange illness have started coming back to life and they are attacking and eating the living. The townspeople left alive are holed up at the reverend's home. Sam tries to leave to go and help, but is told that he has to stay behind. Daryl tries to keep Emma from coming with him and Merle, but Merle agrees that Emma should accompany them into town.
