Author has written 9 stories for Sonic the Hedgehog, Dragon Ball Z, Pokémon, Fullmetal Alchemist, Sword Art Online/ソードアート・オンライン, and Naruto. NOTE (September 29th, 2018): Due to my newfound university schedule, I can no longer do the Luster Season 1 Redux chapters as frequently as I did across the summer break. But I should be able to do the Season 3 chapters instead, so I'll do those. Expect the Redux chapters to return in 2019, after Season 3 is complete. Hello, fellow internet user. Welcome to my little slice of this high-speed, vast-access world of information. Gaming I like video games. It's my primary hobby and I even wish to pursue a career in the games industry someday. My particular favourites-ah, you know what? I'll just do a list. Saves time. Sonic the Hedgehog. I've been a Sonic fan since around 2003, and I've never looked back since then. I love the series, I love the characters, I love the games, I love the plot-lines, I love it all. Not all of it, mind you. Favourite: Sonic Generations. Least Favourite: Sonic Labyrinth. Pokémon. This is perhaps one of the most enjoyable RPG franchises out there. The games are quite good, usually. They have a simple structure which makes these games easy for anyone to pick up and play. Loved this series for many years now. Favourite: Pokémon Emerald. Least Favourite: Pokémon Channel. Super Smash Brothers. One of the best fighting franchises of all time. It combines all you love about Nintendo (as well as some third parties); and who doesn't love that? It brings a simple concept - try to get the other players off to the side of the screen as quickly as possible. Makes for lots of fun. Favourite: Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. Least Favourite: Super Smash Bros. Fable. RPG-like, sort-of open world, you make your own decisions and it never gets boring. Lionhead Studios are one the funniest game devs of all time, including bundles upon masses of references and jokes in their games. Fable is no different. Rest in peace, you magnificent studio. Favourite: Fable/The Lost Chapters/HD. Least Favourite: Fable: The Journey. Mega Man. I've only been a Mega Man fan since 2013, but that doesn't matter. I love the classic series, but I haven't played any of the other series so I don't know what they're like. Mega Man is pretty hard, but is beatable with enough patience. Favourite: Mega Man 2. Least Favourite: Mega Man 1. Rayman. A series that started with a 2D platformer on the Playstation 1, which is a difficult yet fun game. Its sequel, Rayman 2, is a fantastic 3D platformer that I absolutely adore. Big fan of this series. Favourite: Rayman Revolution. Least Favourite: Rayman Raving Rabbids 1, 2 and any other Rabbid game involving Rayman. Super Robot Wars. I've been getting into these games since last year and they're very enjoyable. They're all mecha anime crossovers, so you can see the likes of Gurren Lagann alongside Code Geass (which happened in Super Robot Wars Z2 on the PSP). Fantastic series. Very enjoyable. Favourite: Super Robot Wars X. Least Favourite: Super Robot Wars A Portable. Fire Emblem. I've only played Awakening and Fates. I love the both of them for their story, the strategy gameplay and the character interactions. So very enjoyable. Favourite: Fire Emblem Awakening. Least Favourite: I don't know.Anime/Manga Anime is pretty cool. There's almost always some form of interesting conflict happening in them, with some great characters, animation and music to boot. Here's some I have seen and may or may not like: Dragon Ball (OG, Z, GT, Super). I was introduced to Dragon Ball Z thanks to my two brothers, who also love the show. While I think there are much better shows out there, this one holds a special place in my heart being one of the first anime I've ever seen. Yu-Gi-Oh!. Similar to Dragon Ball, this was one of the first anime I've watched. Not great, but it has its moments of fun. Pokémon. Another one of my first shows. It's not good. At all. Naruto. This franchise is pretty enjoyable. It has its fair share of serious and near tear-worthy moments, while it doesn't take itself so seriously at times, which is great. Not much depth to it though, since it's only a simple shonen. Has its aspects of fun. Sword Art Online. This one's widely hated, but I find some enjoyment out of it. The plot isn't the greatest, but the animation and soundtrack is amazing. Good aesthetics help me really enjoy a show, even if most think it is terrible. Fullmetal Alchemist. Both Brotherhood and the original series are fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. Widely loved and deservedly so. Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. My favourite anime ever. It has inspiring messages, great animation, godly soundtrack and wonderfully written characters. Can't ask for any more than that, can you? Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion. Another amazing series that is for sure. It's similar to Death Note, but Code Geass has mechas, it doesn't lose steam and is overall much better. Puella Magi/Mahou Shojo Madoka Magica. I love this show. Absolutely fantastic, love the characters, the animation and the overall plot. Neon Genesis Evangelion. I've only seen the original series and while it does have its flaws, it's definitely loveable. I quite enjoy it. Fate/Stay Night. It's a decent show. I'm talking about the 2006 series, specifically. It is flawed, but still good. Mobile Suit Gundam 00. I freakin' love this show. It's invoked tears within me; something no anime has ever done before. Apart from Gurren Lagann, of course. Awesome mech designs, great characters, glorious animation and great opening songs. Aquarion EVOL. A strange show featuring a mecha that causes highly sexual emotions in its pilots. A sequel to Genesis of Aquarion. EVOL is pretty good on its own right, with great characters, animation and whatnot. Its mecha are animated in 3D CGI (or something) and it looks really good. Eureka Seven. Love this show. It focuses a lot on romance between two fourteen year olds and while it may be cheesy at times, the cheese makes sense considering their ages. The romance is done really well. Eureka Seven also has a lot of colour to it, something which I can adore in any visual work. Getter Robo Armageddon. Based on the classic Getter Robo franchise. While the animation is slightly out of date and the plot isn't great, the soundtrack more than makes up for it. My goodness is it wonderful. Check it out for its tunes alone. Trust me. Overman King Gainer. This one's fairly wacky, and I love me some wacky shows. I prefer it when anime doesn't take itself too seriously, because that just makes it all the more fun to watch. King Gainer is a good example of this and it even has a great plot to back it up. I love this one.Fan-Fictions Luster the Cat - a story about a Sonic OC (hear me out) that has had his parents killed before his very eyes. Now, he searches for a way to bring them back...if he can. Bios for OCs Here, in this little section, I'll be posting bios for all my OCs. "You're strong...but I was raised by Sonic and Tails! You can't win!" - Luster, Chapter 50 (Season 1). Basic Information: Name: Luster the Cat. Alias: Luster. Age: Five (at the start of the story), Ten (currently). Gender: Male. Species: Cat. Date of birth: September 19th, 1982 (his dimension's time, currently 1991 in the main story). Place of birth: Mobius, in a remote wooden house. Current residence: Thorndyke Mansion. Occupation: Defender of both Mobius and Earth. Alignment: Good. Physical Description: Slim chest with slight muscles, grown from his increased training in the DBZ world. Image (If Available): NaN. Height: 2'1" (at the start of the story), 2'7" (currently). Weight: 49 lbs. Appearance: A young cat with cyan fur, classic black eyes, red and white shoes (given to him by Tails) and white gloves (also given to him by Tails). He has one tall quill at the back of his head, with three smaller ones surrounding it on the two sides and the underside. Being young, Luster has a small body with some muscles and thanks to his training from Goku, he can take on nearly any opponent. Attire: Has no attire except the classic shoes and gloves, but in Chapter 36, he wore a dark grey tuxedo and a black bowtie, both lent to him by Chuck and Christopher Thorndyke. Personal Information: Personality: Fun loving, yet timid. Has a slight mix of Sonic and Tails' personalities, having been raised by them for a while. He will aspire to help those in need, but is easily scared. Also loves training and fighting. Hobbies/Talents: Luster has a talent for navigating forests of any description, having lived right next to some for seven years of his life, and has been collecting food with his father for five out the seven. Is good at combat and Ki manipulation. Likes: Sonic, Tails, Chris, his other friends, helping his friends, contributing to anything, adventuring, fighting and training. Dislikes: Dr. Eggman and any of his evil creations, being held-back, being unable to help to anything, his actions being limited in any way, memories of his parents' death and being unable to fight. Items: Silver Ring, which doubles the user's speed and reaction times. Obtained in Chapter 50 of Season 1. Vehicles: NaN. Trivia: Luster isn't fazed by much, such as how memories of the 'incident' don't come up frequently. He is also a fast learner and knows the ins-and-outs of forests and how to use it in a fight. Relationships: Family: Jack the Cat (deceased, father), Megan the Wolf (deceased, mother), Sonic the Hedgehog (foster father), Miles 'Tails' Prower (foster father). Close Friends: Christopher Thorndyke, Sonic the Hedgehog, Miles 'Tails' Prower, Son Goku. Other Friends: Chuck Thorndyke, Ella, Mister Tanaka, Knuckles the Echidna, Big the Cat, Amy Rose, Cream the Rabbit, Cheese the Chao, Son Gohan, Son Goten, Chi-Chi. Romantic Interest: Open, but he's only ten. Rivals: NaN. Hasn't met anyone (yet) that is truly his rival. Enemies: Dr. Eggman and his creations. Battle Information: Skills: Being a fast learner, he can pick up on techniques and learn them pretty quickly. In a battle with a forest setting, he can use the environment to his absolute advantage. He can also dodge things pretty quickly, and the Silver Ring amplifies that ability. Thanks to his training with Goku, he knows how to use Ki effectively. Luster can move and fight at the speed of sound and can only barely react to the speed of light. His damage output allows him to destroy cities, continents and islands - he cannot bust a planet, but the Chaos Emeralds of his own universe allow him to reach high levels of strength. His durability matches his damage output. Techniques: Spin Jump, Spin Dash, Rolling Combo (requires Tails), Copter Combo (requires Tails), Kamehameha, Afterimage, Instant Transmission, Ki Flight, Ki Shield/Explosive Wave, Aerial Spin Dash, Super Explosive Wave, Luster Combo. Strengths: When anybody attacks his friends or mentions his parents in a vile manner, his 'Berserk Button' is activated. This increases his strength but also makes his fighting style slower and sloppy. Luster can also use his Ki to fly and is generally rather strong. Weaknesses: His physical body isn't that great as he relies on his ki too much. If he uses too much ki, he'll tire out. If anyone brings up his parents in an insult of any kind, he'll become enraged and while his attacking power increases, his fighting style becomes easy to manipulate. He also has no defence for status alignments, mind controlling, body controlling, time/space manipulation and other such non-physical techniques. Weapons: Eggman's Pistol, one he obtained by Spin Jumping it out of the doctor's hand aboard the Space Colony ARK, though it has now been destroyed. Also, while not technically a weapon, he has his ki. History: Luster the Cat was born on Planet Mobius to the parents of Jack the Cat and Megan the Wolf in a small village known as Prylea, which was not known for anything in particular. However, Prylea had a fierce rivalry with another village, Bellum, so many battles were waged between the two. Before a particular war, Jack the Cat had decided that he had enough of killing innocent soldiers that never deserved to die and because of his strong emotions, he took his family and left the village, letting it fight its battles on its own. That is when the family of three stumbled across a small wooden shack that became their home. Peace had finally arrived once again. Until three years following, when a Badnik that had been separated from Dr. Robotnik's group appeared and shot Luster's parents while the young cat watched. Not knowing exactly what was going on, Luster did his best to not receive the same fate, though a well aimed laser seemed to have done the job. That was not the case. Out of the blue, a streak of the same colour appeared and destroyed the Eggrobo in an instant. After calming the child down, the streak revealed himself to be none other than Sonic the Hedgehog - along with his friend, Miles 'Tails' Prower. From then on, a new friendship was born; Sonic and Tails took Luster in as a kind of 'foster child', making sure the young cat would grow up to be someone strong. Skip forward several months of getting used to Planet Earth, to this situation: some of Luster and Sonic's human friends they met up with when the Mobians were teleported to Earth after a Chaos Control based incident (see Sonic X episode one, or Luster the Cat Chapter 23) had been kidnapped by Dr. Eggman right under the heroes' noses. Fortunately, Luster happened to be somewhat ill on that day, so he was at the Thorndyke Mansion to fight off the evil scientist as opposed to looking for a feigned Chaos Emerald signal. After the short bout, Eggman fled and Luster followed him by somehow managing to hang onto the underside of the Egg Mobile contraption. Their destination? One of Eggman's 'hidden bases'. There, Luster fought one of Eggman's most powerful mechs to date and somehow survived to the point where Sonic, Tails and Amy arrived as backup. Though, even the mighty fall sometimes, as Eggman's Egg Ender proved too powerful - it being powered by the seven Chaos Emeralds. Luster stepped in and since he didn't have an iota of hope to defeat the Ender, he decided that the next best thing would be to destroy the machine that held the Chaos Emeralds. However...Eggman did so instead by accident, causing a widespread Chaos Control that only Luster got caught in; Eggman managed to get away in time. Luster was brought along the dimensional path, unconscious. He landed in a strange wasteland full of dinosaurs, where two boys (boys that could fly) picked him up and returned the cat home. Once Luster awoke, the family got to know the cat, revealing themselves to be the Son family, their members consisting of: Son Goku, a legendary martial artist; Chi-Chi, Goku's wife; Son Gohan, Goku's son and is a warrior as well as a scholar and Son Goten, a full-blooded warrior and Gohan's brother. In this world, Luster was trained by Goku, eventually teaching him the ways of Ki and was even allowed to train in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber - a strange alternate dimension that has a different passage of time to the outside world. Luster had spent a total of two years in the camber, equating to two days on the outside. Once finished, Luster emerged a powerful warrior, though he was immediately called to fight a being called Unknown, something that Goku first. combated sometime before Luster's arrival. Unknown seemed to have been different from his last appearance. Strangely, this Unknown turned out to be the God of Terror, Nazo. In order to fight toe-to-toe with Nazo, Luster had to utilise the power of the Chaos Emeralds to transcend into Super Luster. Eventually, Super Luster won and managed to return to his home universe with the use of the Dragon Balls (seven mystical balls that when collected, summons a dragon that has the ability to grant wishes), where he would continue to serve as a protector of the combined planet - something that also occurred as a result of Luster's wish-making. With the determination to locate the person that holds his parents, information that Nazo informed him of about someone that may be keeping them under some sort of captured-like state, Luster fights beside his friends to foil Dr. Eggman's plans. Memorable Quotes These are some of my favourite quotes from any game, anime or TV show. Dreams don't betray us. When we lose ourselves, that's when we lose our dreams. It's not that dreams don't come true. We just give up on them. - Knuckles the Echidna, Sonic Shuffle. Those who break the rules are scum, that's true, but those who abandon their friends are worse than scum. - Kakashi Hatake, Naruto. There’s no such thing as a painless lesson. They just don’t exist. Sacrifices are necessary. You can’t gain anything without losing something first although if you can endure that pain and walk away from it, you’ll find that you now have a heart strong enough to overcome any obstacle. Yeah, a heart made full-metal. - Edward Elric, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. I'm going to tell you something important now, so you better dig the wax out of those huge ears of yours and listen! The reputation of Team Gurren echoes far and wide! When they talk about its badass leader - a man of indomitable spirit and masculinity - they're talking about me! The mighty Kamina! - Kamina, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. If a king doesn't move, then his subjects won't follow. - Lelouch vi Britannia, Code Geass. Contact Details: @ModernHog - Twitter.
