"Felicitations, malefactors. I am endeavouring to misappropiate the formulary for affordable comestibles. Who will join me?!" I would love to say that about sums it up, however, my life can't be fit into one Spongebob Squarepants quote. I must also add this: "Sorry I'm late; I had to pose for a Meatloaf album cover." Anyway, now that we've passed the quote stage, which is not likely to ever ACTUALLY be over, I will proceed to tell you about myself. I joined fanfiction.net for the sole purpose of voting on Tiger-Samba's online poll, but now that I've been here for a full two minutes, I quite like it. So far I've written only Stargate: Atlantis fanfiction, (available today on wraithbait.com!) but now that I've gotten thoroughly re-obsessed with Harry Potter, there may be something coming that way. I'm not a big fan of most slash ships, in fact, the only one that's even slightly growing on me is Remus Lupin/Sirius Black, for the oddest of unexplained reasons, but I don't insist that it's canon in any way. That being said, though, I have no problem with slashers and their respective stories. If it is excellently written, even the weirdest ships/slashes can become really touching or awesome, exemplified perfectly by the ONE McShep fanfiction I ever actually enjoyed...or really cared to read in the first place. If you have a story about Harry Potter, any sort of Nintendo game, Stargate, or Firefly/Serenity let me know about it, be it slash or ship or general. I don't know if people sign up to be betas on this site, but I'd certainly do that, too, if you wanted. Anyway, I'm a fan of fantasy and science fiction, including obscure series that nobody's probably ever heard of that are geared towards seventh graders like Gregor the Overlander or Deltora Quest. (Haven't read those in FOREVER, though, I need to get on that). I am not a fan of Twilight. I don't much care for romance novels, exemplified by the (potentially mutilated) words of Nick Aupperle, "What the hell is this doing in my book?" I enjoy languages: I will be taking Spanish III and Mandarin Chinese I (finally, I will be able to understand what everyone in Firefly is talking about!) and English class, but only if it's with Casey Burkett. I also go to the mall and dress up as an alien on weekends when I have nothing better to do and a looming English project on science fiction to get done with. I ended that sentence in a preposition, and am acknowledging it in this sentence. I had to use spell check to spell acknowledging. Then I spelled it wrong again in the sentence that followed. I spell things like honour and favourite and travelling, and not just when I'm in Australia. |
