Andy Sachs is struggling to make ends meet in New York, so she becomes a webcam girl to earn a little extra cash. After she finally gets a job at Runway though, she struggles to quit the business completely due to a mysterious woman she met online who she nicknamed 'T'. Her newfound crush on her real-life boss, Miranda Priestly, also isn't helping. A/U - Loosely follows movie plot.

Sucked back into Miranda's sphere once more, Andy is astonished to find that her own change in circumstances is not as big a deal as she first thought. In fact, perhaps the she and Miranda will learn something from each other. Perhaps, they'll learn not to sweat the little things.

It turns out Miranda does not know how to properly operate Runway's fax machine, which means that only the first part of her letter of reference goes through to the New York Mirror and Andy is denied her dream job. Andy, naturally, thinks she's been blacklisted by her spiteful former boss. This means war.
