Luke-Misunderstood
"Luke Misunderstood" Contest Presented by: Akatsuki Child Luke Castellan is a misunderstood character. As the series goes on, we dislike Luke more and more, but that's because we didn't know anything about him until the very last book. In the last book, we find out why Luke was against the gods. His father Hermes didn't help him, but Hermes couldn'thelp him because of the Ancient Laws. Then, at the end of 'The Last Olympian' we find out that Luke didn't want Kronos to take over his body. All in all, we misunderstand him and everything about him. The propose of this contest is to try and understand him and to try and see him in a good light. It's also to try and bring out his better qualities and to understand that, despite his mistakes, he was a great hero. Rules and Guidelines 1. Must be at least 2,000 words, not including A/N's, disclaimers etc. 2. Must be a one-shot. 3. Must be rated T and under; no rated M stories. 4. You may enter up to three stories. 5. They can be any genre, pairing, plot, content etc. 6. Story must be spell checked and grammar checked. 7. Authors may co-write together; make sure both author's names are listed. Time Frame Contest Start Date: September 1st at 12:00AM PST. Anything posted before this date will be ignored. Contest End Date: September 15th at 11:59PM PST. Anything after this date will be ignored. Voting: September 18th--September 25th. Voting date may be increased or decreased depending on the number of submissions. Submission Your story must be posted on Fanfiction.net by the Contest End Date. Winners/Prizes To determine the winners, I will choose about five stories each day and there will be a blind poll where you pick your two favorite stories. First Place:Winner will receive a one-shot story written by me. It will be 6,000 words minimum and you will pick the pairing/characters. Second Place: Winner will receive a one-shot story written by me. It will be 4,000 words minimum and you will pick the pairing/characters. Third Place: Winner will receive a one-shot story written by me. It will be 2,000 words minimum and you will pick the pairing/characters.
