SUPERSHORTY'S TOP 20 ANIME LIST

I only put anime that I have finished. There are a couple of anime that I really like, such as Kyoukai no Kanata and Haibane Renmei, that are not on this list, simply because I have not finished them or the episodes have not been finished releasing. The only exception to this rule is Bleach- I'm really far in the series, so I don't think it should matter anyway.

20. High School of the Dead

(Zombie apocalypse gone badass! Just be aware that this is borderline hentai.)

19. Kanon

(An amazing romance with great character development.)

18. Murder Princess

(It's called MURDER PRINCESS. What more do I have to say?)

17. Sword Art Online

(Amazing story setup with beautiful animation.)

16. Romeo x Juliet

(A loose adaptation of one of Shakespeare's most famous works.)

15. Dream Eater Merry

(Action scenes of amazingness)

14. Magi- The Labyrinth of Magic

(A cool twist on the One Thousand and One Arabian Nights.)

13. Dance in the Vampire Bund

(Let's just say that it's a lot better than Twilight.)

12. Soul Eater

(A unique setup where PEOPLE TURN INTO WEAPONS.)

11. Fate/ Stay Night

(You can summon mythical heroes. What more could you want?)

10. Bleach

(Yep, I'm a Bleach fan! The story is just SO ADDICTING!!)

9. Attack on Titan

(HOLY SHIT. This was just...mind blowing. Go watch it for yourself, because if I say anything else, I'll spoil the entire show XD)

8. Shakugan no Shana

(Shana is probably the most badass character I've ever laid eyes on.)

7. Stein's;Gate

(A complex and engaging story line that kept me on the edge of my seat. 1 point for the amazing use of time travel!)

6. Angel Beats!

(I'm going to be totally honest here- I think this anime may have literally changed my life, as its story reminded me that we're never guaranteed another day to live.)

5. Puella Magi Madoka Magica

(An amazing breakdown of the Magical Girl genre. Despite what you see in the opening, THIS IS NOT FOR KIDS! 5 points for making the time travel in Stein's;Gate look like a board game!!)

4. 11eyes

(Great plot, great characters, GREAT EVERYTHING!!!)

3. Clannad

(The characters are written so well, that if something were to happen that would affect them negatively, I would feel as if I was bearing the pain with them.)

2. Fullmetal Alchemist/ Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

(This is basically a combination of all of the reasons above. That describes my experience with FMA in a nutshell.)

1. Tokyo Magnitude 8.0

This one I'll have to sort of go into depth about. If you were to watch every one of the anime above, none of them would seem as real as Tokyo Magnitude 8.0. The sheer realism that this anime has is enough for me to like it more that Fullmetal Alchemist. It's because of this sense realism that puts it at the top of this list, because if anything, when the characters go through pain, you can relate to it even more that you could in a fantasy anime. The story that the anime projects to the viewer is just so beautiful, and once again reminds me that there may not be a tomorrow for anyone. In fact, that impacted me so much, I'm literally crying as I write this. I love this anime so much because it reminded me to appreciate everyday I have, for one day, my world may be torn to bits, and my life could change forever or even end abruptly. In Tokyo Magnitude 8.0, the severe pain of death is portrayed in a way that, even though I will never be able to personally know the characters, I can totally relate to what they are going through.

Lol I'm starting to watch a lot more anime nowadays...so I'm REALLY considering making this a top 30 list... xDDDDD

NEWS

5/28/13: WOOOOOOOOO!!!!! After about a month with this account, I've finally posted the very first chapter of my very first fanfic!!!!! I will try to update "The Life Alchemist" as frequently as possible, especially with my summer break coming up. So yay!!!!!!!!!! =D

9/21/13: aprildragonfire16 and I are planning something...possibly a collaboration fanfic. So, keep an eye out for it! (BTW, we have no idea what to write it on, so, yeah...)

12/07/14: I have made the executive decision to discontinue "The Life Alchemist." I dunno, I just really didn't like where I was going with the story, so yeah. But, I have a new series in mind, SO BE PREPAAAARRED!
