Intertwines elements of both the book and the BBC series, but focuses less on angst and more on the relationship of John and Margaret. Disclaimer: I do not own these characters, but am only presuming to borrow them for a while.

A what-if story. What if Mr. Bennet had died upon hearing about Lydia's running away. How would this affect our beloved couple? Will they find Lydia and Wickham? Will they have their happy ending?

Margaret receives a letter from Mr Bell that throws her into despair. She is forced make a choice that wasn't meant to be hers, but the consequences are not hers alone to deal with.

A Regency P&P story with a twist. Darcy and Elizabeth meet in Scotland when they are younger. He, unencumbered with guardianship and estate responsibilities and she, before years of meddling and matchmaking have taken their toll. Note that birth dates are played with a bit in this story but most relative ages stay reasonably close to the original :)

Modern. After the overall disastrous meeting with Darcy at Rosings, Lizzy contemplates how much she actually knows the man she claims to hate. However, there's not much time to obsess after Jane calls to tell her about their suddenly pregnant sixteen year old sister who is currently being tossed out of the farm by their mother. She still can't get him out of her head, though.

London, 1893. Darcy is a failed scientist, but a very dutiful English duke. Elizabeth is an aspiring architect, and a very reluctant American heiress. He wants capital for a new venture to boost declining land yields. She needs a title to claim her inheritance and take control of her future. They meet; sparks fly. [Potentially a series of one-shots.]

A second glance at Elizabeth, and Darcy felt an immediate pull. In a library one evening, his guard dropped, and he couldn't help himself. It was not a lady's imagination that led a rapid jump from admiration to matrimony skipping over love, but it was rather the heated actions of both. Deep feelings tend to get in the way when hidden and can undo the potential for happiness.

When his proposal was a flop and a half Darcy wrote a letter hoping to clarify some matters, but Elizabeth isn't going to take it without justification. "What have you written that has not already been said?" Another confrontation of inflamed emotions will change their path to HEA. With a fine line between love and hate, the middle of connection could happen before it has begun.

His passionate love for Elizabeth only mitigates this character flaw, resulting in the awful proposal at Hunsford. If happenstance forced Darcy to marry Elizabeth before he loved her, or even knew her at all, would he ever be able to get past his pride to recognise his fortune?
