this may appear a very random description of myself, but i think this (sadly) sums me up quite well.

i have always been addicted to pairings. weirdly, as early as 5-6 years old, my love for a books/movie/tv show largely depended on the romance between characters.

i have shipped various local celebrities, greek myth, arabian nights and star wars characters.

teeny bopper tv shows strengthened my shipping tendencies. these three shows were the firsts i religiously watched

dawson's creek: pacey-andie, pacey-jen fan

charmed: leo-piper

seventh heaven: matt-heather, mary-wilson, simon-deena

i have already started imagining ways to get these people together or back together but did not really have an avenue for my thoughts.

then, i got addicted to roswell: michael-isabel. this show introduced me to fanfiction and fanart. (through the website crashdown?). i will forever love the roswell fans for this.

naturally, the first things i wrote but never finished were roswell. i also did alternative universe crouching tiger, hidden dragon stories where li mu bai and shu lien were involved in modern day mafias :)

addiction to harry potter brought fanfictioning to greater heights, and i spent much of high school life here in fanfiction.net. the fics were so good, i did not feel the need to write any of my own.

i reserved my writing for personal, angsty self reflections.

i love fanfiction. it is a means of silent escape. conventional work of fiction can engage you a little, then leave you depressed, wanting for more. fanfiction fills all these desires to the brim. without it, i would have probably been already been dead or sent to a mental care facility.
