Fitzwilliam Darcy is delayed until November for his 1812 trip to Rosings, so he has not seen or heard any news of the inhabitants of Hertfordshire for a year. He encounters something at Rosings that leaves him badly shaken, and starts him to a journey he could not have imagined.

As suggested in the title of Jane Austen's original work, Darcy's greatest failing is pride. His passionate love for Elizabeth only mitigates this character flaw, resulting in the awful proposal at Hunsford. If happenstance forced Darcy to marry Elizabeth before he loved her, or even knew her at all, would he ever be able to get past his pride to recognise his fortune?

What if Wickham tried to compromise Elizabeth but Darcy intervened, leading to an earlier understanding between the two?

What if the Bennets' situation was worse than was generally known? What if to save her family from a life in the poor house, Elizabeth decided she had no other option but to marry Mr Collins. How would Darcy react when he discovers that the woman he is in love with is engaged to another man? And more importantly what will he do about it?

What if Darcy stole a kiss when he deposited the letter that morning? Mr. Collins discovers them. Elizabeth has not yet read the letter. How will she react? A rather naughty version of what could have happened if Lizzie Bennet had spied Mr. Darcy in his bedchamber after just getting out of the bath.

What was going through Lizzy's mind in that eternal moment between her rejection of Darcy and his retreat? Heated, fervent hatred and perhaps something else? Based on the scene in the movie adaptation where Darcy confesses his love in the rain. Smut, character study. Canon-compliant and period-compliant.

Shamelessly conceived after reading CheshireSorrow's Liberties Taken (May I suggest you read it). Warning, it is a little risqué for 1813. Mr Darcy finds himself in a rather sticky situation during the Meryton Assembly. Not yet introduced to Miss Bennet, they find themselves compromised and made to marry. And so the fun begins. What if Mr. Darcy had ran into Elizabeth directly after Mr. Collins' disastrous proposal? Will Lizzie share the events of her stressful morning? Also, they are quite alone in the woods together;) Pure Lizzie and Darcy awkwardness. Regency.

What if Elizabeth realized Mr. Darcy's interest before she was blinded by the news from Colonel Fitzwilliam? How would she confront him?
