A bit about myself for anyone who's interested. I chose my pen name largely because of my love for the sunflower, the helianthus plant genus to be exact. There are seventy species of sunflowers and I love them all. Their radiance and resilience never fails to amaze me. Helios was the name of the original Greek sun god who drove his golden chariot from east to west every day. While I certainly don't worship the sun or Helios, I do love this image. I also love what the sun gives us: colour, warmth and light. I extremely feel blessed and humbled to be able to experience this things, amazing testimony to the love and power of the true God.

My favourite music and t.v. shows are from the 70s and early 80s. Maybe that dates me, but I don't watch much t.v. any more. I'm still relatively new to fan fiction, but what I've seen so far is wonderful. I'm not into a lot of sex or graphic violence. I also dislike a lot of swearing.

Fantasy is probably my favourite genre. Historic fiction and medical drama also fascinates me, even when it's fairly graphic. I do like happy or at least positive note endings however. There's far too negativity in the real world. The good stories I've read have inspired me to try my hand at fan fiction and I'm interested to see how it goes.
