Being on a journey that will surly lead to death and destruction is difficult, but how about adding the fact you are the only person from another world (and a girl) in a Fellowship with nine (male) companions? Sometimes depressing feelings can begin to sink in. No pairings, one-shot I wrote when I was sad and feeling lost and lonely and needed someone to cheer me up.

Two Mary Sues fall into ME, complete with names that sound like STDs, sparkly pink blood, and a tendency to molest every male in sight. It's up to their unwitting companion to prevent them from wreaking hormonal havoc on the characters she knows and loves, and just maybe, with a pinch of patience, a little thing called "growing up" can happen to even these worst of Sues.

Clara did not come away unscathed after the events of S08 Flatline. Twelve takes care of her injury but his bedside manner leaves a lot to be desired. Hurt/Comfort - heavy on the hurt in chapter 1 and an extra serving of grumpy Twelve.
