Hey Everyone!

Well, I have read fanfic for years and I have a few stories that I have written but never published. My obsessions are Twilight, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Supernatural, X-Men, Queer as Folk . . . okay if I list them all this is going to be a long list. We'll stick with those for now. I am 25 and I have a Bachelors degree in English. I have read fanfic for almost 10 years now. Wow. That's a long time. I feel kind of old. Heh.

What else . . . Oh, I am an anglophile. I will be living in England someday. If you live across the pond and want to chat, drop me a line. I am an animal lover. I have a beautiful half Great Pyrenees, half Border Collie pup named Bella. Yes I named her after Bella in Twilight. Well, actually my friend named her Bella because she was supposed to be her dog, but I ended up with her. Her full name is Bellaquinn, cause I wanted to call her Quinn (So I could sing "You ain't seen nothing like the mighty Quinn,") and we compromised over her name.

Um, I used to live in Alaska, and I learned a lot while I lived up there. Kind of gave me a new view of the world. I love that Twilight talks about the Denali coven because I have actually been to Denali.

I love music. I go through phases where I only listen to one genre of music. I have soft rock and hard rock phases, but I am currently in my R&B/Soul phase. Current playlist includes: Macy Gray, Joss Stone, Adele, Goldfrapp, Joni Mitchell, Leela James, Duffy, K-CI & Jojo, James Morrison. I also love good television and good movies. They are definitely my passion. I read a LOT of books. Mostly romance, many with a definite paranormal tilt to them. I love Urban Fantasy.

As far as fanfiction goes, well, I will read most anything, except badly written fanfiction. I can't stand stories written in text speech. I prefer a story to be Mature, because I expect the characters to reach a (forgive me) climax, just like the plot does. This probably comes from reading too much Romance, but oh well. That is my main gripe with the Twilight series. There is so much UST and when it finally gets resolved it is a "blink and you miss it," moment. Thank god there is fanfiction. I love PWP's and long stories, but I can't stand unedited stories. I think all authors have a responsibility to edit their own work before finding a beta or posting it online. And editing doesn't just mean checking for spelling and grammar, it means reading over what you have written several times and finding ways to make your story better. All published authors do this. Any story I have written has been read over multiple times by myself. I also let any story I write sit for a while before I go back and do more editing.
