Update: 11/23/11

Hello people of FanFiction. My name is Unidentified Pineapples, and I'm here to tell you a bit about myself.

I started writing fanfiction back when I was a freshman in high school, but it took a few years for me to work up the courage to actually post my stuff here for other people to read. I have to admit, at first I was very nervous, but that quickly went away when I found how wonderfully supportive many other authors here were. To be honest, it almost feels like a family at times. Once I got over being nervous, I began to write more frequently (well, as frequently as I could with school always looming over my head). It was tough balancing real life with my writing, but I always knew I could come back to fanfiction when I needed to escape for a few hours. Like almost every author here, I have stories that I began with good intentions but abandoned somewhere along the way. I have other stories that are completed, and still others that I'm in the process of writing. I do all of this so I can learn to be a better writer (because at some point in my life, I need to publish my own work. It's not something I want to do, it's something I have to do. For me.). Each and every review I recieve shows me just where I am. Based on what people tell me, I know what I need to do to improve myself and what I don't have to worry about so much. You guys make a difference in my life with each and every review I receive, so thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I make it a goal of mine to review every story I read. No matter how long or short, how many reviews it has received or how long it's been dormant, rest assured I will leave a review on the way out. I know how much it means to know people are reading your stuff, and I also know how important it is to receive feedback. It's that whole "do unto others" thing.

I suppose that's all you need to know about me. Below is a list of subjects I prefer to read/write about, but I'm always open to suggestions. Other than that, thank you for taking the time to view my profile and learn more about myself. I hope you enjoy my stories.

Now, this isn't to say I read all of these categories on a regular basis. Some of these I look at every day. Others I'll check out maybe once a year. The ones I read most frequently are broken down into categories below of what I tend to gravitate toward when I'm reading initial summeries.

LOST- When it comes to LOST, I'm not big into the romance-y stuff. I tend to overlook anything involving the Kate/Jack/Juliet/Sawyer quadrangle; I think it's far too over done. Give me a Dan/Charlotte fic any day! But, again, romance isn't my main focus. I love reading about the mysteries of the Island, and I'm especially a sucker for all things that involve either Jacob, MIB or Ben. Again, it's the mystery behind everything, and I love when a story tries to delve into this engima of an island and give explanations for what happened. I'm also a sucker for OC stories (both Submission and not). Seeing the story through another characters eyes is, in my opinion, always fun.

Once Upon A Time - For the longest time, I've said that LOST is my all-time favorite show and that no other show will ever be as good. For now, I still hold true to that, but Once Upon A Time is quickly giving LOST a run for its money (which probably has something to do with the fact that the writers of LOST created Once Upon A Time. No complaints here). We're only four episodes in and already I'm in love with it. My favorite character by far is Rumpelstiltskin/Mr. Gold, so when looking at fanfiction I immediately gravitate toward stories involving him as a main character. I'm not big into romance stories here either, especially ones involving Rumpelstiltskin/Mr. Gold as a love interest. Really? That creeper as a love interest? But I digress. I'm still new to the idea of Once Upon A Time fanfiction, so I'm still not sure what I will like and dislike, but I find that I also enjoy reading stories about Ruby/Little Red as well.

Psych - I'll make this very easy. If it can make me laugh, I'll read it. Anyone who has a decent characterization of the comraderie between Shawn and Gus has me instantly. Having my own light-hearted Psych fic, I know how much those two characters just write themselves. I've read so many fantastic Psych stories, and there seems to be virtually no shortage of humorous fics. It's wonderful! Now, I know this might sound slightly blasphemous, but I don't read anything involving Shawn/Juliet. I've never really cared much for them as a couple. I prefer Shawn solo. On the other hand (and this may even be more blasphemous), I'm not opposed to reading a Lassiter/Juliet fic. I've always enjoyed the thought of them together. I understand it'll never happen on the show, but a fic here or there doesn't hurt.

Harry Potter- I'm almost strictly a Marauder era person. Give me a story involving James, Sirius and Lupin, and I'm pretty much set. Also, Snape/Lily fics are the best!

As of right now, there are only really two stories of mine that you can count on being updated. Those are Prank-Calling Lassie (a Psych fic) and All Magic Comes With A Price (a Once Upon A Time fic).

Prank-Calling Lassie - I've said this before, and I will say it again, I consider this fic my baby. I know it doesn't get updated as often as many people would like, but I feel that when it does get updated, it's a special treat. I enjoy writing this stoy, purely because I get to delve into the minds of Shawn and Gus (and let's face it, their minds are a pretty sweet place to be). It's light-hearted, it's fun, and on top of it all, there's no real story-line to it, so there is little pressure for me to kick out a new chapter every other week so that readers aren't left wondering what happens next. Each chapter, for the most part, pretty much stands alone. There are moments when I have sudden bouts of inspiration and I immediatly pull out my notebook and continue writing this story. If I'm not mistaken, I have half a chapter finished already. When that other half will get written, I have no idea. But again, I consider this story my baby, and I will not just give it up. I intend to get another chapter out soon. Okay, how about this? At the very latest, there will be another new chapter by the season 6 finale? Sound good? Cool. I like setting goals for myself.

All Magic Comes With A Price - With each new episode of Once Upon A Time, it is likely that my love for this fic will only grow. My love of Rumpelstiltskin/Mr. Gold is what drives this fic forward, so as long as he's on the show, you can bet that this fic will exist. And let's face it, that guy isn't going anywhere. This fic is more in-progress than Prank-Calling Lassie, but I will try to get stuff out for both as time becomes available to me.

I'm sorry to say it, but all my other fics (that haven't already been completed) are pretty much done for. I got away from them, and the inspiration has been lost. My sincerest appologies. However, if someone would really like a certain story updated (even something that I haven't touched in years) and sends me a PM requesting it, I would be more than happy to work on a new chapter for you. It would be a welcomed challenge to delve back into something that I haven't thought about in awhile.
