Inspired by CuriousStar's amazing prompt: Bea never tried to kill Harry. Instead after she gets beaten pretty badly she goes to a women's shelter for a night and meets Allie. Bea continues to go back to the shelter even when she hasn't been hurt (does hair makeovers for the other women?) and grows closer to Allie. As you can see, A Different Choice makes for a different story!

Bea Smith finally decides to leave her husband. She takes her daughter and moves to South Hampton, Long Island. She hires Allie Novak as her divorce attorney. The process is difficult but Allie gets her through it and in the process they find love.

When Allie Novak injures her ankle, the last thing she expects is to fall in love in the middle of a hospital with a married woman who carries more demons than herself.
