The soul called Bending Leaves wakes up. He has been put into the body of a human named Ian. The Seekers are looking for information about the soul named Wanderer. The problem is that Ian loves Wanderer, and he will do anything to get back to her...and Bending Leaves is starting to fall in love with her, too. Will they manage to evade the Seekers and get back to the girl they love?

Ian is captured by the seekers when a raid goes wrong. Wanda thinks she has lost Ian for good. The seekers are desperate for information, and will do everything in their power to find the last remaining humans, even though it means they have to use violent methods.
