I’m alive!

Well, hello there, don’t be shy! Welcome to my humble author’s profile…

The first bit you should know, and something you’ve probably already realised, is that I like to procrastinate – a lot, and I strive constantly to improve my writing skills (to the point of driving myself crazy by writing-and-rewriting everything, at least three times).

Now, English isn’t my mother tongue, so don’t expect me to use every idiomatic expression correctly; if it really bothers you, then maybe I’m not the author you’re looking for. Despite this, it’s definitely a challenge I adore, writing stories in English – it never gets boring, and it gives me an excuse to find odd little phrases and their meanings, even when sometimes it turns out that the internet has lied to me! (Trust me, it has happened before…).

Something personal? At home I like to make sweet beaten coffee, as well as a good cup of cappuccino, and when I go out I usually enjoy it straight black. I’ve always been a huge fan of tea, the only one in my family who’s as crazy about it (thus I learnt to enjoy the joys of coffee…seriously it’s everywhere!) and I’m very proud to say that half of the kitchen is filled with tea boxes. (I’m currently working on making my own blends of tea, but not succeeding… procrastinator here, remember?).

Now! Onto the interesting stuff!

I like to read and write SLASH, at least here in fanfiction. I come here for the unusual pairings, those I wouldn’t find anywhere else; I even like to ‘defile’ good stories and think on which two would be the most awkward ones. (I write some of the ideas, but they usually remain as that – just ideas.) For anything else, I can just go to a bookshop.

I read a lot of fiction; I love to devour books on all things non-real. My current guilty pleasure is Harry Potter, has been for quite a few years… it’s like a drug! But, strangely enough, until I read my first fanfic I didn’t quite like it all that much; it was just… okay, I guess.

The stories I have posted…

Russus Fragaria (red strawberry). This is a Marvel Movies and Harry Potter crossover, with the main pairing being Steve/Harry, and on the side a bit of Nick FuryHarry Potter bromance. Currently it’s in the last stages of revision, but I’m still a few chapters short… I know where I want it to end but it just doesn’t go there at all!

El destino es inevitable. Esta historia es bastante vieja, comencé a escribirla algo así como 8 años atrás, y siempre está presente – demandándome que la termine de una buena vez. Allen(dom)/Neah(dom)/Lavi(switching!sub). Originalmente la pareja estaba planeada para ser un Lavi/Allen, no tengo idea qué pasó ahí… Actualmente en revisión, pero no es una prioridad. Una vez que la termine puede ser que haga una traducción, cuando este conforme con el resultado…

My current projects as of now, and don’t expect me to finish them any time soon, are as follows...

Happenstance: Stranger things have happened before (title’s a work in progress…). This is a ‘sort of spin-off’ form taramegareader’s ‘Can this get any weirder?’. I asked for permission and I’m actually pretty far into the story, working on where and how to tie the loose ends… Extensive pairings, Harry centric, and obviously a good dose of good ol’ Voldemort/Harry.

RPD: Raccoon City Police Department, a Resident Evil 2 and Harry Potter crossover. Main pairing’s Leon S. Kennedy/Harry J. Evans-Potter, but my little sweet Harry there seems to be a bit of a player. The story intends to be a huge-ass story spanning from game 2 (taking into account game 1) until somewhere before game 5 (and heavily based on the canonical information). Blood and gore expected, as well as crappy action scenes, but mostly it’s supposed to try and recreate that constant state of suspense and ‘holy-shit-what-now?’ I got from playing the games.

Those are just the tip of the iceberg…

PS: for some reason I was never into the whole Drarry pairing, I have loved a few stories, but don’t expect me to write one on them; or on Harry/Ginny.
