Follows on from Longbourn's Songbird. Col Fitzwilliam and Mary Bennet are to be married, and both Mr Darcy and Elizabeth are desperate to escape marriages their families are determined to arrange. Might they be able to offer one another a way out of their respective predicaments?

A misguided proposal ends in a kiss. Conflicting emotions throw Elizabeth off, but sympathy wins out when Darcy falls to his knees in shame. Darcy learns humility. Elizabeth learns the truth. Can they find a quicker HEA when they lay it all on the table?

As suggested in the title of Jane Austen's original work, Darcy's greatest failing is pride. His passionate love for Elizabeth only mitigates this character flaw, resulting in the awful proposal at Hunsford. Nature's a fickle thing. When four days of rain occur earlier in Jane Austen's Pride & Prejudice to trap Elizabeth and Jane at Netherfield Park, new romances, misunderstandings, and alignments are made. Volatile tempers never did well cooped up together.

What if Wickham tried to compromise Elizabeth but Darcy intervened, leading to an earlier understanding between the two?

After being knocked unconscious by a rearing mare, Darcy wakes up to find a mysterious creature, whom he immediately falls in love with, gazing down upon him. Trouble is, she runs off without giving her name and the only thing he has to go on is a monogram on a hip flask. Can he find her? & more importantly, can he make her love him? Darcy's horse casts a shoe while riding to Pemberley which causes him to miss encountering Elizabeth Bennet who is touring the estate. Thus he is unable to show her his change in behaviour, fails to learn of her improved opinion of him, fails to meet the Gardiners, and fails to learn what happens to Lydia. First Lizzy had learned of Mr. Darcy's hand in breaking Jane's heart, and then he had offered the most insulting marriage proposal in history. Could a day get worse? Only if she were to be threatened at sword-point, tied up, and whisked away by a rogue, with only the world's most arrogant man to watch over her. Luckily, that wasn't very likely to happen...

Sequel to Childhood Impressions. Misunderstandings sunder the childhood friendship of Darcy and Elizabeth. Now an independent young woman, Lizzy must work to regain her old friend – who has become the cold-hearted master of Pemberley. Meanwhile, Georgiana falls in love with her piano master and Jane falls in love with Bingley.

Shamelessly conceived after reading CheshireSorrow's Liberties Taken (May I suggest you read it). Warning, it is a little risqué for 1813. Mr Darcy finds himself in a rather sticky situation during the Meryton Assembly. Not yet introduced to Miss Bennet, they find themselves compromised and made to marry. And so the fun begins. An alternate tale of a classic love story had the protagonists' characters and circumstances been a little different.

Darcy does not accompany Bingley to Netherfield. Therefore, he does not meet Elizabeth until his first trip to Rosings, resulting in some major changes to the way their relationship develops.

When Elizabeth and the Gardiners visit Pemberley a year early, a bond of friendship and sisterly love forms between Elizabeth and Georgiana. The repercussions of this meeting change completely the way Elizabeth and Darcy interact once they finally meet.

Elizabeth never meant for this to happen. One mistake-one simple mistake-and her life had unraveled around her. Now, on a path she never expected or wished for, she must learn about herself, about the things that are lost along the way to who we will become, and about the power love has to heal as well as to harm. After such a mistake, can she truly ever be happy again?

Elizabeth is not really a Bennet. Yet she has been raised as one. The man who is to take over as her guardian when she turns twenty arrives in Meryton. It is Fitzwilliam Darcy.

Mr. Darcy once voiced his reservations against Miss Elizabeth's station in life, only to have his suit vehemently rejected. Years later his feelings for her haven't diminished but her status has. What would it take for Mr. Darcy to propose again? Regency, AU, HEA (amazingly). Inspired by "The Reawakening" by easternbandit.

Mr Darcy wasn't one of the party that first came to Netherfield leading to altered events at the beginning of the story. Jane and Bingley came to an understanding much quicker and Darcy and Elizabeth first meet just before Bingley and Jane's wedding.

"If only I had learnt to be a lady," Elizabeth whispered, "then perhaps I might be fit to marry, but as it is, I am not." Is it possible for a man, even one such as Fitzwilliam Darcy, to change her mind?
