Think about it.

Next time you see someone, any one for that matter, think about how they're a person too. You know they have arms or legs, but have you ever thought that they're a real person with a real family and real issues?

Think about a person you sit next to in class, at work, or even on the bus. Have you ever thought about their life? They too have someone that they love, that they fear, that they envy and that they miss. That person could have lost their father or mother. They could be feeling alone or depressed. They could have attempted suicide or been molested. They could cut themselves everyday when they get home. Perhaps they don't know what it's like to sleep without having fresh tears on their pillow. They could be addicted to a substance, be in love with someone who doesn't love them back, or have someone close to them that's battling a severe illness.

So next time you see that person, whether you talk to them every day or don't even so much as glance at them, realize that they're a person too. Just because they have a smile on their face and jokes to tell doesn't mean they're happy. Treat everyone with the respect that they deserve and realize that you aren't the only one struggling. Maybe your troubles could one day help someone going through the same thing.
