Author has written 3 stories for Outsiders.

Ok, so i guess i'll start with this...

I LOVE THE OUTSIDERS!

I know that makes me sound like one of those teeny fangirls... but... it's true. i really do love the book/movie.
I've loved it since the year 1998 - ever since i had to read it at school when i was 12.

Here's how i came to love it:
I was born and raised in England.
Well, first off, we had to read it at school. And i love to read, period.
Then, we had to do some exercises about the book, etc. Which got me to really pay attention to the book and i realized that what S.E.Hinton had written was very similar to what i saw happening at my school.
Then, i had to leave the school, only i'd forgotten to take the book back. So i kept it and read it all.
I started crying from when the Curtis' brothers re-unite at the hospital all the way to the end of the book.
I know i'm a sap. I cry easily.
I had only gotten to watch the first five minutes of the movie at school, so after i moved, i went searching for the movie but found it nowhere. -sigh-
I was so devastated.
Then, one night, i was babysitting and looking through the movies at the house where i was babysitting and one of the movies happened to be titled 'The Outsiders'.
I jumped around the house like a crazed woman. -glee-
I shoved the video tape into the video player, so thankful that the kid was asleep so that i could watch the movie in peace.
I cried almost from the beginning to the end. lol.
I'd read the book numerous times and knew it word for word.
I was, i must admit, a little disappointed that the movie lacked some information and didn't really introduce the characters as well as it could have.
The next time i went back to babysit, thinking i could watch the movie again, i found the dad had taped soccer over it. -furious-
I went back to reading the book again almost every night and envisioning the faces of those actors (who i had no idea about at the time... i mean, i was thirteen and living in a bubble world... Tom Cruise?? Who's that?? Matt Dillon? Is he a new kid at school??)
Unfortunately, i made the really stupid mistake of lending the book to a friend. Needless to say, i never saw the book again.
Then, when i turned sixteen, i moved with my mother and younger brother over to America.
I joined a library and found the book. I went searching for the movie again, and found it at the library. I was soooo happy.
I took it out every week and watched it at least twice a day.
I practically forced my younger brother and step-cousin to watch it.
My younger brother thought it was cool for a while. My step-cousin didn't like it, until it got to the part where Johnny died and i told her Johnny was the only thing Dally cared about... then she fell in love with Dally and made me play the movie again.
Now, five years later... i'm the proud owner of BOTH versions of The Outsiders movie (although i still don't have a copy of the book), and i also own the movies of Tex, Rumble Fish, and That Was Then, This is Now.
I have read all the books, including Taming the Star Runner and i have ordered Some of Tim's Stories from amazon.com and should be getting it around March 14 2007. -can't wait-

So... that's how i came to love The Oustiders.
It has NOTHING to do with the fact that all the guys in the movie are cute (though i can't deny that they are). I loved the book long before even seeing the movie.
And now i like to write fanfics and i'm so proud of myself for finally finishing one (i have a problem with finishing stories). Although, it's probably no good, but still. It's a big accomplishment for me.

Anyways...
That's just a little about me.

If there's anything else you would like to know, send me a message or something.

A conversation i had with a friend online:

Me: I'm tired.
Rob: Are you leaving soon?
Me: Yeah, around midnight. That's about an hour and half away.
Rob: Oh. That's not soon.
Me: Yeah, i know. I probably wont go to bed then though, i just have to be off the computer or i'll turn into a pumpkin.
Rob: lol.
Me: I don't get why people say they'll turn into a pumpkin. It was the stagecoach that was a pumkin, not Cinderella. She just returned to
her normal self. It kinda lacks logic.
Rob: I've never heard that saying before.
Me: -shocked- Never?! I'm sorry. -hangs head in shame-
Rob: lol. It's ok.
Me: No, it's not. I feel really bad for subjecting you to that kind of torture. You were probably all happy, enjoying life, etc. then i went
and said that, and your paradise just crumbled around you and there was nothing you could do to stop it, no matter how much duct
tape you used
Rob: lol, what are you talking about?
Me: Ya see... I feel so ashamed of myself. You've already started to forget about the little bubble of happiness you had...
Rob: I'm confused
Me: Of course you are sweety... it's ok. I didn't mean to do that to you. You'll be fine... eventually... the doc said it'll just take a few ...
months, possibly years, for you to adjust
Rob: lol, your trying to confuse me aren't you.
Me: NO!!

(is it working??)
