AU from 4X01. 48 hours. 48 hours is the timeline when someone is taken. After 48 hours, the percentage of finding them alive is greatly decreased. It's been over a year. (The rescue in Mexico doesn't go quite as the McCall pack had hoped) Rating for language and violence.

The Beacon Hills Mental Institute, Belmont is housing some disturbed teenagers. Stiles can't even remember how long he has been there, but things change when three new kids get transferred there and he gets a roommate named Scott, a kid with terrible anxiety. Stiles finds a friendship in him he didn't think was possible considering that they both live in a nut house.

The rumors of these 'Winchesters' have to be exaggerated

But there's one thing that time and distance will never change: when Scott calls, they come running.

"I know how you feel. It's like an open wound. An open wound that keeps getting opened and opened again after it's already been sowed up supposedly," Scott said gravely. "It has been ever since you left. Ever since Allison…" He trailed off, Lydia knowing how emotional he got when he said her name. Even the slightest mention in any way of her sent shock waves through his system.

It's been two months since they defeated the nogitsune, two weeks since he finally asked out the girl of his dreams, and two minutes since his world fell apart. [or: Lydia ends up in the hospital and Stiles thinks it's his fault.]

"Not you too." her voice was almost a whisper as she cried, hoarse and hurting from its previous endeavor. "You don't get to do this Stiles. Not you. Not now." The group have to defeat the Nogitsune while mourning the death of their friend. Lydia realises how much she cares for Stiles knowing he might be next.

"You're not Stiles," she says, an accusation not a question, because she already knows. She can see it in his eyes. (or: the nogitsune kidnaps Lydia and the pack tries to save her.)

Lydia always knows where to find Stiles. She's just not sure what she will encounter when she does. My version of what could happen on "Letharia Vulpina" because the wait was killing me and I couldn't stop coming up with different horrible scenarios. They all lead to Stydia, though. My first Teen Wolf fic, hope you enjoy. Rated T for language & just in case. *EPILOGUE UP*

After looking at her for a moment, he went over and sat next to her. "You don't have to pretend with me, Lydia." And that was all it took. Suddenly her chest was tight, and it was hard to get a breath in from the lump in her throat as her vision went blurry from hot tears. She wasn't okay. She wasn't fine.

Isaac finds out that Lydia is more broken than anyone knew, and resolves to help her. The only problem is whether she'll be willing to let him. WARNING: This gets a bit dark. [Doesn't start out as Isaac/Lydia... just FYI]

"And if you die, I will literally go out of my freaking mind." He does, and this time he doesn't need a homicidal Japanese demon to do so.

Takes off where we left off in Season 3b when Stiles and the Nogitsune become separate entities. Just an idea of what might happen now that the Nogitsune has taken Lydia.

"And the way he says "He is, you know" -drawn out and lilting- makes her think of cat and mouse, of villains who let you writhe before they stab you, of patient fingers tapping sword handles before they run you through."

She doesn't think they even managed to finish the spell before Stiles – the demon – had attacked them. She wonders if they're all dead. She wonders if she's dead. (or: Lydia accidentally saves the nogitsune, who repays the debt.)

"I've plans for you, little banshee". -— stiles/lydia; nogitsune!stiles.

But she doesn't look, doesn't see, doesn't understand. She just cries to herself, a banshee without a voice, a girl without her heart. The murmuring in her head grows louder... (or: Stiles meets with Lydia in a cafe to say goodbye, and she tries one last time to save him.)

Lydia supposed it was better this way. If she just looked at the eyes there was no mistaking what was going to kill her and it wasn't Stiles…not her Stiles.

Something dark is taking over Stiles and it wants Lydia.

Sam and Dean come to Beacon Hills to hunt down the local werewolf pack. However, soon they discover that werewolves are not the biggest problem they are going to have. One little human can be more dangerous than all monsters together when it comes to protecting the ones he cares about.
