Taken out of context, John Watson leads a terrifying life. You have to wonder what those poor women he dates thinks of it, especially if John decides to try keeping one away from Sherlock, and Sherlock decides that it'd be best if he could get rid of her

In which John makes a bet with a co-worker. If he wins, she shuts up about him and Sherlock being a couple. If he loses... well, that doesn't matter, because he won't lose. Because he and Sherlock ARE NOT a couple. Right?

John is a telepath. Between trying to save lives, catch criminals and keep his gift from Sherlock, he's getting worn down. Rating might go up. Slash is eventual.

When Sherlock hears that "love is an endless mystery", he concludes that falling in love would mean he'll never be bored again, and begins an internet dating mission. John follows from date to date, hoping he'll see that his ideal man is closer to home.

When John heads overseas for a week, Sherlock's forced to fend for himself. It goes about as well as anyone could have anticipated. Which is to say, very, very poorly. Don't worry, things'll be fine in just seven days.

Follow up to Jealous: A Case Study. Sherlock can deny the fact that he pouts all he wants, but John knows better than that. And he has evidence to back it up.

John finally gets himself engaged, but unfortunately for him the Holmes brothers have other plans, and those involve him staying with Sherlock, and falling in love with him. Eventual John/Sherlock. Complete.
