About Me:

I like to draw, play flute, write stories (as in real stories, not fan-fiction), learn science, and several other things, but those are all what I remember at the moment. I'll conceal my actual age, but all anyone needs to know is that I'm in high school. Also, I get very happy at the sight of books, and I'm currently building enough discipline and patience to finish all the books I begin to read. Nowadays, I read books on ecology and environment or other science books. I would read stories more, but unfortunately, I do not have unlimited time. One of my greatest obsessions, well, not obsessions, but more like "interests," is environmental protection. Although I do possess certain levels of activism, I am not one of those scary tree-huggers who considers environmentalism as a religion. Very recently (as of early 2007), I have also gotten to dislike fast food greatly. Read "Fast Food Nation" to see what I mean.

Favorite Books:

I'm not exactly one of the greatest readers out there, but I like Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, And Then There Were None, Fever 1793, The World is Flat, Fast Food Nation, Pride and Prejudice, Jane Eyre, Alice in Wonderland, and many more. The list will grow as I remember the books I've read.

On certain works...

Harry Potter- if there was ever a list of my favorite characters, that list would be very long. Sometimes, I look through fanfiction sites for light, humorous romances between certain pairings, such as Tonks/Lupin (I was always curious about them), and other random couples. I do not enjoy reading slash or very (cough) graphic romances, and I am far less likely to write any. I would write Harry Potter fanfiction, but seeing as the seventh book is to be released this summer, I feel anything I write would be rendered useless. I know it's a strange reason, but I would feel worse about wasting my time if I wrote anything. I also enjoy adventurous fanfiction, more so than romantic ones, since most HP romances come off as weird to me, depending on the pairing.

Pride and Prejudice- yes, Jane Austen's classic novel. I'm currently writing a modern version of it instead of one in the same time period as the original story. If I added any more to Austen's story in the original time period, I would be destroying an excellent piece of literature.

A Modern Pride and Prejudice - The Bennet family placed and tuned to a modern setting.

Possible Projects:

I have none at the moment (I deleted all my other possible ideas. I didn't like them, to say the least.)

--More ideas will come up, and most will probably be shut down. Many of them are just thought up on the spur of the moment, and my motivation will only rest with a few.
