Nightmare's return has Kirby and friends back together to save Popstar. A bounty hunter will have them questioning the true purpose of Nightmare's 'failed experiment' and the identity of the mysterious demonbeast prince. Could it really be Kirby? In the midst of it all, will the prophecy binding two knights to destiny end what they all cherish most?

Kirby, Fumu, and Bun are thrown back into the middle ages where the medieval Meta Knight promises to help them get back home, if they help him win the hand of the princess which would require him to beat the jousting champ: Sir Galacta.
