![]() Author has written 12 stories for Harry Potter, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, Life is Wild, Libertine, Doctor Who, Glee, and Mythology. I have come to the conclusion, that this profile was probably the most ridiculous thing ever, being written by the crazy fourteen year old i was way back then. So let's see, I like HP fanfiction. A lot. Practically all of it Harry-centric. I like it when under-developed characters, develop, because most of the time, there isn't need for OCs, JK has given us more than enough names whose characters never appear in the books. I don't like it when Vernon's an evil pimp/rapist/pedophile/torturer. I don't like the man, and i can see him beating Harry around, but he's too much of a coward and, really, it's kind of a stretch. I don't like Harry-goes-to-Gringotts-and-discovers-is-a-wizarding-Bill-Gates-is-really-really-hot-and-girls-fall-in-his-arms-and-defeats-Voldiemort-with-the-help-of-his-magical-creature-army-that-answers-only-to-him-but-not-Ron-and-Hermoine-cause-they-were-spying-to-Dumbledore-since-they-were-eleven-and-are-really-jealous-of-his-money-and-hotness. It gets old after 13859 fics with the same plot. I like Ron, Hermione and Dumbledore, especially after the last book, cause their flaws make them believable. Ron may have left, but he came back, which takes a lot of guts. And how dare JK make Dumbledore human! He made mistakes, and he tried to repent, and he was manipulative but came to love Harry as a son. And I know a lot of people will hate me for this, but I think killing Fred was a stroke of genious! Why, you ask? Because the twins were probably the only characters almost everybody loved! And killing them made it hit home for the readers. Yes, it was horrible, and cruel for George, but a Weasley had to die, because that's war! It's cold, painful and uselessly cruel, but that's the way it is. I don't like HarryGinny. I like both Harry and Ginny to a smaller degree, and JK has stated Ginny was made for Harry to end up together, but I just don't see it. If their relationship was handled differently, I could believe it, but there have been lots of moments thet could have been used to develop something, but most of the time JK let them fly out of window, and then suddenly there's a monster roawring in the guy's chest!? Come on! And there's the fact the girl's been pinning after him since she's a wee little kid, and then when he notices her, she jumps into his arms!? That's a bid no-no for my feminist self. But that's just me. I passed my X-Men phase, so my nerdom level must a have gone down a few notches. Seriously. I'm in love with Supernatural but I probably won't ever write anything in that fandom, because that's way out of my league. Joss Whedon is a God and I bow to him and his awesome creations. Especially the crazy ones (Drusilla, River, Spike-in-the-basement) 'cause he's just so damn good at them! On another note, I now have a DA page! Yay, for me! If anyone wants to check it out, it's here: Tumblr: izzyscorner.tumblr.com Twitter: http://twitter.com/#!/marisapereira20 Livejournal (only the stories written from 4/08/2011 onwards): Ninety-five percent of the kids out there are concerned with being popular and fitting in.
