In a timeline that spins off after the events of Mass Effect Two, the Reaper invasion is delayed until 2201, and while the races of the galaxy have more time to prepare, they still aren't ready. This story takes in the waning months of that war on the human colony world of Benning, and follows the exploits of Major Jon Waggoner and Staff Lieutenant Elizabeth MacLougherty.
