Hello, People..

I mostly write Harry Potter Fan-fiction, as I really love Harry Potter.

Fan-fiction Pet Peeves:

(I saw this one someone else's profile and thought hey why not?)

My biggest pet peeve, is when people write unbelievable fan-fictions. Like Harry is super powerful or graduates Hogwarts by the time he is eleven. The only times I do like it, if it has been cleverly written or there is an believable time scale for this to happened.

Likes and Dislikes of Harry Potter:

Pairings:

Harry/Ginny: Not my cup of tea. I don't mind reading it, but I think Harry is better suited to someone else

Harry/Hermione: I like reading it, but I believe they have more of a brother sister relationship than anything else.

Hermione/Ron: No, Just no. I don't understand it and I don't like it. I thought Ron and Lavender, were a much better pairing.

Hermione/Draco: I don't like it, as I find in Canon it would never work, but if Hermione was a pure-blood they would be good match for each other.

Any Teacher Shipping: No. Illegal.

People:

Ginerva Weasley:

I found it hard like her. I think this is because she was setup to be a love interest for Harry. J.k Rowling knew this as she was writing the book, whereas we didn't. So in the final books, it was like J.k Rowling was trying to get us to like Ginny and think her a good person for Harry.

To me, she wasn't a bully, but she wasn't all sweet either, from the way she treated Fleur in the books. Also in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Ginny says

"I knew you wouldn't be happy unless you were hunting Voldemort?" (Chapter 30, Page 538) (Bloomsbury Paperback edition, I know it's different in different books)

In my opinion that doesn't sound like Harry. To me, all Harry wants is a normal life and it feels like Ginny is saying, I knew you wouldn't be happy unless you were doing something dangerous. Or she could have meant "I knew you wouldn't be happy, unless you were doing something for the war" Which shows her in a better light.

But. Then she says "Maybe that's why I like you so much" To me, Ginny sees Harry as the hero, she's grown up with him being the Boy-Who-Lived. It sounds like she is in love with the boy-who-lived and not Harry Potter, the boy who lived in the cupboard under the stairs. That's another reason why I like Hermione/Harry because Hermione sees Harry as Harry and not the boy-who-lived. She doesn't believe he is chosen or anything.

Ron Weasley: I like Ron Bashing, because he is such a good character to bash. But I think all Ron needs is someone that sees Ron for him, who doesn't expect him to be like his brothers. But also he is lazy, jealous and an attention seeking annoyance. I cheered when he left in the Deathly Hallows, but I also felt sorry for him. He thought that Hermione and Harry were together and I guess he felt like he was being pushed out.

Hermione Granger: I wish there were more Hermione Bashing stories. I love her character, but she annoys to no end, her whole, I'm right and your wrong thing she has.

Dumbledore: To me, Dumbledore is a very old man with lots of power. He is for most of the books, the Supreme Mugwump and Head of the Wizengamot as well as Headteacher at Hogwarts. All of them seem like very time consuming positions. I do not believe that Dumbledore is evil. He got rid of Grindlewald an Dark Wizard, he was put on a pedestal, much like Harry was as the Boy-Who-Lived. To me the power and the glory went to his head. Over time as the Minister kept coming to him for advice. I think Dumbledore started to believe that only he could see the big picture and only he can do what's right.

James and Lily Potter: I don't personally ship them. I think they were good for each other and I like reading stories where they are together.

James did bully Severus, I do believe he did. But James grew up. I think that's something we forget. He was a hero. He died trying to protect his family.

Lily is a hard character for me to like after a while. She made friends with Severus Snape when they were younger and obviously found out about Snape's not so great childhood, but did nothing about it. I understand she was a child and cannot be expected to help as much as an adult could. Then at Hogwarts, she like Lupin, she didn't really do much to stop the bullying. I mean if she had gone to a teacher and told them they would have had to have done something to stop it. Also, she saw Severus Friend's as bullies but she never saw James for being a bully. Which they both were.

But Lily did do the right thing by leaving Snape as a friend. He wasn't good for her in the end. I don't ship Snily as Canon as I believe that would have been a toxic relationship. But I like fan-fictions where Snape never became a death eater and Lily and him got together.

Severus Snape: I love him as a character, in the movies he was portrayed amazingly and Alan Rickman is my hero. His voice!

Personally, Severus Snape was a very bitter and angry man. Who never got over his past of neglect and being a bully victim, instead he sort of lived in it. Also thinking back to the past and blaming everyone else for his mistakes. He blames James for not being able to get Lily. His father, James and other people for being a death eater. I think the only thing he really blames himself for was the death of Lily and that made him turn to Dumbledore for help.

Severus Snape grew into the thing he hated, a bully. He bullied countless students because I believe they were happy. He bullied, Harry because of James and I believe Neville because in Snape eyes I believe he thinks Neville should have been the Boy-Who-Lived, meaning Lily might have survived.

I will say one thing, Snape's love for Lily wasn't creepy.

The only reason he said he would camp outside the Gryffindor common was so that Lily would come out and he could apologize to her. Otherwise Lily would have just ignored him.

The only thing that made it creep for him was when he held Lily dead body. But I think that made him finally realize that him and Lily were never going to be together.

Remus Lupin and Sirius Black: Sirius Black should have been expelled for the Werewolf Incident in fifth year. He almost got a student killed.

I know that if Dumbledore had expelled Black, Lupin would have been executed which I would have hated to have seen, but I believe it would have shown Sirius, James, Peter and Remus and all the teachers that actions have consequences.

Sirius might have realized he was not playing a prank. Because with the way things went, Sirius Black still thought it was okay to have done that.

James might have grown up earlier and held on to Peter earlier and maybe Peter might have not been a traitorous murderer.

And Dumbledore and the teachers might have realized that they should have done more to protect the students from Lupin when he was a werewolf. The shouldn't have let James, Sirius and Peter run around with him on a full moon as animagus's.

Like Snape, I think Sirius was living in the past, but I think that was to do with the dementors and being in Azkaban.
