AU fic/S1 canon divergence - Daenerys takes Jorah up on his offer to help her run away from the Iron Throne nonsense and buy a villa in the Essos version of Italy instead :)

When the last dragon died magic left Westeros. But dragons have been reborn to the world and no one fully knows their powers; not even their mother. Nor the man who died defending her, but that does not diminish their magic or the sway they hold over life and death. For while the world has forgotten their ways, dragons have not forgotten the world they once knew. SPOILERS FOR S8E3.

Set after s7. Daenerys pursues a way to break the sourceress' curse while facing the army of the dead and trying to claim the kingdoms of her birthright. But help may come from unlikely places, and her loyal guard may have more power than he knows. Jorah and Daenerys.

Jorah Mormont survived the Battle of Winterfell - barely. He awakes to the reality that Daenerys Targaryen's gentle heart has been shattered and the terror he always feared has come to pass.

Tyrion ponders the pleasant changes in King's Landing after Daenerys takes the Iron Throne.
