Great fan of HP/DM and HP/SS - it's basically all I read. I will, though, dip into something un-slashy, if the plot is interesting. Het is something I'm highly picky abou; Harry and Draco don't do women, and Severus is rather questionable about that, too... And graphic Ron/anyone is a SERIOUS squick. (Anyone sensing that I don't like Ron that much? xD)

Anything with vampires, violence (I do not love swords, now do I?), great plot, loads of (sarcastic) humor, a certain amount of drama, strong characterizations, some rock and roll if possible... and I'm hooked! Darkish Harry is also something I'm rarely able to turn away from. And I must mention, I adore writing crazy reviews in a state half way to hyperactiveness (or fully there). Nothing cheers you up better than a long review with little sense and a lot of blabbing. Reading it again can cause serious cases of falling-off-chair-while-laughing-your-arse-off.

Very little actually squicks me away from a fic, but very bad grammar does render me unable to even glance at a fic for longer than two seconds, however interesting the plot may seem. I don't require perfection (no one's able to do that), but I believe it a reasonable request to make the grammar as good as possible, with help of a beta reader if need be. Call me a grammarazi if you will, but I respect languages too much to rape them out of lazyness. Not knowing a language well enough is another thing entirely. (Let's not look at my French homework... :grin:)

And just in case you're interested, English is not my mother tongue. Finnish by nationality, fluent in Finnish, Swedish and English (thanks to The English School of Helsinki for that one).
