My entrance into the field of fanfiction is as common as most others': long time readers turnedfirst time writers. Most of us share one other common belief: the aspects of writing are limitlessly intriguing and wonderful. With a creative mind, a comfortable chair, a severe case of boredom, or procrastination from schoolwork, one can mold an escape from reality, along with the help of some familiar faces andprefabricated settings, through which one can behold, proudly, as a monument to hard work.

Almost bi-weekly, I joke to my friends about writing the Great American Novel, but in my heart Iknow this to be just wishful thinking and over ambitious dreaming. Then, when my eyes were shown theirfirst glimpses of fanfiction, Iknew, somehow,this would be the key. If I accomplish nothing more than entertaining myself and perhaps a few chance readers, then my mission will be complete.
