A slight AU set in the first movie: Odin did die during Thor's exile to Earth and the throne has fallen to Loki. He allows Thor to return but as a servant to Asgard. In Thor's return, Lauffy requests penance from the attack led on Jotunheim. King Loki accepts the terms.

Loki spends years in Asgardian jail until he comes up with a plan. Character death.

Thor looks back at the time between Loki's capture in the Avengers, and his death in The Dark World. Angst, mention of rape, mention of violence and description of injury.

In this story Thor never went to earth and learned a lesson, he never had to prove himself, he never bettered himself. He was spoiled and corrupt and became king of Asgard with his brother kneeling as his feet.
