After an economic collapse under Vaati's reign, Hyrule's extreme conservatism comes into question. Exploration around Holodrum, democratization of Labrynna, and industrialization of New Hyrule leaves Hyrule's ideas of absolute monarchy and magical purity obsolete, and with Vaati's search to resurrect a long-vanquished enemy, the looming threat of war draws ever closer.
