3x21, Caroline is ensnared in Alaric's trap for Elena. Klaus first secures her safety, surprising her when she finds comfort in his embrace, then rushes off to end the threat to his own existence, a fight she is determined to help him win. There is no clear victor as of yet, but the enemies will become allies and she struggled with the feelings that she's been keeping secret.

Klaus has just lost his brother Kol, and will do everything in his power to kill everyone responsible.
