It's probably time to introduce myself.

Hey everyone, my name is Alana, but I go by Lanes or Lanesy 'round these here parts. I'm not really good at profiles and introductions, but all you really need to know is that I love to write in my free time, and FFnet lets me indulge in that. I started writing fanfiction back in...2003-ish? Writing for FFVIII, and had a multi-chaptered story in that fandom that I sadly never finished. It wasn't until this year when I got back the desire to write fanfic again, and to ease myself back into the process I am currently only writing one-shots and drabbles. I do intend to hopefully write a full length piece or two now that I'm on a roll, but I won't actually post it here until it's done to cut back on drama and angst. I know how horrible it is to really get into reading a story only to have them give up moments before the end.

My current fandoms--the strongest ones at least right now--are Star Trex XI/Reboot (whatever you want to call it) and Final Fantasy XII (not much else you can call that), but I definitely dip into reading other fandoms around here. Some of my favourite things/pairings to write are:
