Author has written 4 stories for Harry Potter. Quick bio: AverageJoe is a regular guy who enjoys doing regular things such as reading, writing, and watching hockey games. He is still getting a formal education while in his late-20s. He regrettably lives in New York state but is contemplating a move back to Pennsylvania. Joe's writing method for fiction consists of looking at a story and looking for something he would like answered then making a rough outline for answering it. Another method is to read various fan fics and decide that something is a bit inconsistent. He then makes a list of problems, inconsistencies, or preferences that he would like to see differently then make up a list of solutions or answer, thus giving him a bit more of a challenge to writing the stories. He is also a fan of paying homage to different shows or well-known figures in stories, so look for them in his upcoming chapters. Joe currently lives in a small apartment with his wife and their two guinea pigs. Someday he and his wife plan on having a kids and perhaps even getting a dog. He is also in the reserve military and has been deployed twice. Just a quick note on my story "Filling in the Gap." Part of the reason I'm writing it is to show a bit of a more real perspective. Many fan fiction stories about what takes place after the final battle gloss over the grieving and re-adjustment process. Over all there a several great stories which I have come across from many perspectives, yet they gloss over this process. I suppose it is because most people are (thankfully) unfamiliar with the process of returning to life after a war. Harry, Hermione, and the Weasleys have been at war and have faced combat multiple times. This is something that resonates with me and something I have both studied and, on a small scale, lived. I just felt that I could use this to both tell a story and show people what such a process is like. |
