She slowly rolled back over starting with her knees then hips, torso and lastly her head. “Do you have any idea what kind of dream you rudely interrupted?” When he obviously showed no signs of answering – let alone caring – she continued. “You know what? I’m not even going to tell you; you don’t deserve to hear about it.”

Sesshoumaru raised an eyebrow. “I’m heart broken, truly. Now get up."

Kagome glared full force. "Make me."

Sesshoumaru deliberately stiffened and glared at her. “Woman, I asked you a question. I demand an explanation.”

Kagome glared back and pressed her right elbow into his lower abdomen, making him grunt. “Well you’ll be waiting a long time; especially with that tone of voice.”

He flashed one of his true smiles at her. He didn’t do it very often, but when he did it was a sight to behold. “Really, do tell me.”

Kagome closed her eyes in thought and smirked. “When you took me to that pizza place downtown.”

It took some searching, but after a moment the memory surfaced. Ah, Pizza Plaza was the place she was referring to. He remembered that the ‘a’ on the end of ‘pizza’ had fallen off, making it Pizz Plaza. Sesshoumaru made a face. “You mean that rundown old place. Why?”

“Because it was then that I knew.” She said with a far off look telling she was reliving that night.

“Knew what?” Sesshoumaru prodded.

“That you would be mine… even if I had to chain you to a wall in my attic and pass you stale bread and water through a small hole.”

His stomach flip-flopped, and not in a good way. “That is an absolutely horrifying thought.”

“Oh I’m just kidding,” Kagome yawned. “I already knew by then that you wouldn’t be into the whole bondage thing.” She laughed as his face took on a look of disgust and a small hint of curiosity...

She batted her eyes and gave him the most seductive look she could muster. “Why, I bet with those big, strong muscles, you could fix anything... You are a… man after all.”

Sesshoumaru rolled his eyes, realizing she was mocking the girl from earlier. “You do realise how petty you sound, making fun of one of your students. A high school girl at that.”

Kagome shook her head. “No, she’s older. I think she’s only a year younger than I am. Which means she’s still in your range... you know- if you ever change your mind about us.” Kagome started in surprise when he put her down abruptly and turned to walk out the room.

“Where are you going?” She yanked off each shoe without undoing the laces and tossed them in the bag.

Sesshoumaru turned back to face her, peering down at her as if she were an absolute simpleton. “To get her number, of course.”
