Hey everyone! I'm completely head over heels in love with Harry Potter. Not only is it my childhood, but it's also inspired me to read, write, and expand my imagination. JK Rowling has created amazing characters in which their legacy will always live on, which I assume is how fan fiction came to be. To be honest, I wasn't a huge fan of fan fiction to begin with. When I read the stories, it feels real; hence, I forget what the actual characters are like in the book. I've had so many great ideas that I just shun away because I'm afraid of tainting the character's reputation. I didn't want to change the fate of these characters that already had a fabulous ending. Also, to finish it will make the ending final, absolute. To just let it sit in the back of my mind is like an idea that'll keep growing... But it's been 4 years since the last book came out and 2 years since I heard about fan fiction, I think it's time to put matters aside and carry on the legacy that I'm so in love with. After all, writing fan fiction about Harry Potter is not disrespecting the characters in any way, it's giving them more recognition and admiration. :)

By the way, my preferred pen name would've been Lord Slytherin, as it's my username for every other Harry Potter website. It's a combination between Lord Voldemort and Salazar Slytherin. It's pretty witty, if I do say so myself ;) Sadly when I signed up for an account 2 years ago, that pen name was already taken. So I fashioned myself another name that quite describes my personality and includes Harry Potter (since they use quills to write and I'm writing a story). So, a little name background, unless some wonderful person can convince the current Lord Slytherin of fan fiction to change their name and allow me to use it. xD
