Hello! I'm MerlinWinchestr and if you're reading this then thank you for your interest in me and my writing! I will try and keep this short (which is hard because I am so long winded) and just give you a little information about me and what I write. Skip down past my in-progress stories to learn more about me and my writing. :)

My In-Progress Stories

Unnatural History: "The Anthropologist's Son"--On hold until further notice.

Chronicles of Narnia: "Then There Were Two"-- Also on hold until further notice.

Now You See Me: "A Time For War"--On hold until late November.

For all who are following my story "A Time for War," I apologize for not getting the updates out when I said I would. I thought I would have plenty of time for writing, but between my job and school, life has just been kicking my butt. My job ends soon, however, and by the end of November life should have calmed down enough for me to return. I hope to bring the next update in late November or early December. Until then, all I can do is offer my apologies!

About Me

As I said before, I'm MerlinWinchestr. I'm a simple college student from the good old USA and I am a huge history buff, with my top three favorite periods to study being: (1) Early American History (Civil War and back), (2) Ancient Egypt, and (3) Medieval British history. But my top area of expertise, I guess you could say, is the American Civil War. So if you ever see random history facts in my story, then you know why.

I suppose you could say I am a rather dark person. I tend to be rather serious (though I do love to laugh and smile) and have a very dark sense of humor. I am socially awkward, which is probably why I'm on fanfiction all the time. I am also a Christian and Jesus is number one in my life. Without Him, I would not be who I am and would be in a very bad place. He saved me and for that I give Him the total glory and praise.

About My Writing

As I stated above, I am very long-winded, so most of my stories will be several (or more) chapters long and as descriptive as I can make them. I love descriptive writing and I do tend to go overboard on it, but it's fun, though not as fun as tearing apart a character's inner-most being and thoughts about any little thing. That is becoming something that is more fun to me then watching the shows themselves!

I also stated that I am a rather dark person. That definitely shows through in my writing as most of my stories have very dark themes. I have wrote about child abuse, torture--both mental and physical--kidnapping, war, and death. I don't write to praise these things, but to call awareness to them, especially child abuse. I feel strongly about these things and want to call attention to them and take the glory from them, revealing the true horrors they are.

Please forgive me of any grammar or spelling mistakes in my stories. I am awful at both and spell check can only help to a certain degree. I try to catch all my mistakes, but I apologize in advance for any I do make.

Perhaps most important, however, is I do not write slash and I never will. I respect others rights to write, read, ect. slash, but I will not give my support to it in any way. I'm not a romantic person in the first place--I much prefer action, adventure, angst, and tragedy--but in the few stories I write that are romance, they are strictly between a boy and girl. No disrespect intended, for religious and personal reasons I choose not to write that, but I respect others opinions and you won't see me slash bashing or anything like that.

As a final side note, I also do not cuss. Therefore you will not find any cuss words in any of my stories, even for the shows that do cuss quite a bit. Anytime a character would cuss, I will either change it to a different word or simply say "so-and-so cussed." I know for some shows that makes them out-of-character, but it's a personal thing and I hope no one will hold it against me.

This includes: Decent grammar and spelling, good plotline, interesting, mostly in character, well written, and either complete or updated frequently. The stories that I have favorited embrace these criteria and are, I believe, the absolute best and most amazing stories on fanfiction (That I have found so far.)
