I am a lover of books, movies, and music.

My favorite authors are J.R.R. Tolkien, Jane Austen, Charles Dickens, and William Shakespeare. I love Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Chronicles of Narnia, all things Austen, and classic literature in general (with a strong preference for 19th century British literature). My favorite movies fall along the same lines as my favorite books. If it takes place in the past or in a fantasy world, there's a strong possibility I will love it.

I am an incurable romantic, so I usually read/write fanfiction to make my shipper preferences happy. I love a lot of canon couples (Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet, Mr. Thornton and Margaret Hale, Eowyn and Faramir, etc), but the "couples" I tend to obsess over are usually non-canon, hence the need to read all about them because I rarely get the chance to in the actual book/movie/tv show. I like the Phantom and Christine, Jacob Black and Bella Swan, and Lancelot and Guinevere from the King Arthur movie. The pairings I absolutely adore and just cannot get enough of are Lily Evans and Severus Snape, Marian and Guy of Gisborne, and Zuko and Katara. The dynamics of all of these relationships fascinate me. Clearly, most are of the forbidden/unrequited/extremely complicated love variety. I also seem to have a soft spot (or many soft spots?) for the dark, misunderstood male characters whose love for the girl is their main redeeming quality. In dramatic terms, the tortured souls.
