Please call me Stripes, as that is the definition of my display name, after all. :3 I have lurked FF.net for about a year and a half, now; however, I never really felt the need to make an account because I didn't write many fics, much less stuff I'd release to the public...until now, January 3, 2010. o_o; And thus begins a love affair with the most fictitious of fictions, fanfiction~! Unless cutesy shoujo is truly the most fictitious of all fictions, but then again I'm talking more fiction on top of fiction than lack of reality...ehehehehehe.

Okay, here's a little about me!

My name's Stripes. :3 Let's talk about relevant things, shall we? I've liked anime for about 2 or 3 years, but I loose interest in things quickly (I've self-diagnosed myself with ADD; my mother thinks I need to stop being an attention whore) so I've not finished very many series. The fandom I tend to fandomize and plan to write for/already read for is Death Note! My favorite genres are angst-filled shounen-ai, regular melancholy stuff with no romance, friendship, and sometimes a bit of shounen-ai fluffiness to make me squee. I do not like AU, as I like fanfiction to give a particular plot aspect of the series a different perspective in a different medium. I also don't like hardcore sex. Implied sex or lightly brushed upon sex is fine, but hardcore makes me roll my eyes and/or click the little red x in terror. Also, it tends to not be written well and have absolutely no plot. Other animes I really enjoy are FMA and the Higurashi series. I do not plan on watching Brotherhood, as I've never read the manga, so I feel no vendetta (against the anime's plot difference) enough to give me a motive for watching Brotherhood. I do not like Umineko, since it's almost predictable in its madness and the characters are so many that I can't ever seem to sympathize much with them. It's more blood and guts than mystery and suspense, something I also do not like. My horror needs substance; I want to either have philosophical concepts be brought to light or be able to make theories. xDDD

I don't feel like getting personal or talking about other hobbies, as they don't really matter here since I only intend to write fanfiction about anime. xD No one needs to know about my favorite books, American movies, music, or assorted extra-curricular activities, lol...unless they want to...o_o;
