I'm falling in these Games,
losing chances, to return
home to family, friends, life,
my hopes and dreams, they crash and burn.

There's nothing I can do,

It's all the people's fault,
but I don't think they're to blame.
They were brought up watching,
and loving this sick twisted game.

Will my finger point to none,

-We're going to be thrown into an arena to fight to the death. Exactly how am I supposed to work in a thank-you in there? Somehow it just won't seem sincere if I'm trying to slit his throat

-Effie: Just remember, Katniss, you want the audience to like you.
Katniss: And you don’t think they will?
Effie: Not if you glare at them the entire time. Why don’t you save that for the arena? Instead, think of yourself among friends.
Katniss: They’re betting on how long I’ll live! They’re not my friends!
Effie: Well, try and pretend! See, like this. I’m smiling at you even though you’re aggravating me.
Katniss: Yes, it feels very convincing.

“You have to win,” I tell her. I don’t care that Thresh winning would give my family food for a year. Katniss needs to go home and see Primrose. She needs to be the sister I can’t be.

One was my fellow player, with me since the beginning. My Peeta.(thats off a fanfiction, I liked it)
