Hello! I am an up-and-coming editor that's looking to practice my skills. I write stories myself, but I think it's cool to interact with other authors and help them make their stories better for both themselves and the people who read their stories. So, if you get a review from me asking if I can edit your work, let me clarify that it's not an insult! Lol! So many people write me back, saying I'm insulting them and their work by me asking to do them a favor.

Here's what I can do for you:

I can edit anything from oneshots to full-blown stories that range from 2-25 chapters. (Mind you it will take me more than a day if the story exceeds 10 chapters, considering I am using a computer my husband works on frequently.)

Profanity and sexual situations aren't a problem for me. I write and read the stuff all the time.

If you know your story is strong, but you realize your spelling and usage could use some work, it's alright! I can give you some pointers to help you with your next story. You can even send me your story via e-mail and I can look it over for you! _ Newbies are always welcome and are even encouraged! The sooner you can strengthen your writing skills, the better!

Here's the process in which I edit stories:

1) I carefully read the story from beginning to end, making little notes on which things need work.

2) I spell check, first by running it through the computer spell check for underlined mistakes, then going back and making sure that every word is properly used.

3) I check for common and sometimes overlooked mistakes with the layout of the story. (Use of quotations for speech, onomatopoeias, paragraph layout, etc.)

4) I re-read the story, making sure nothing is overlooked and everything is to my liking before sending it back to the author for review.

5) If the author finds it not to be to their liking, they may send it back and tell me what is wrong with it. I will then fix the problem and have an associate look it over.
