An English writer living in London, Arkady is in her early 40s and lives with her partner, youngest daughter, one cat and one husky.

When not writing, she enjoys photography, painting & drawing, and playing music; she plays flute, recorder, guitar and mandolin, is teaching herself violin, and has recently renovated a distressed cello called Lucy with a view to adding yet another string to her musical bow. She collects Asian Ball-Jointed Dolls, making all their clothing and jewellery herself.

Arkady is 5' 5" tall, a little heavier than she'd like to be, has waist-length black and hazel eyes. She is moderately vain in small doses despite her short stature. ;-) When she grows up she would like to be an Author.

Regarding Slash: I've had a couple of queries as to whether slash will feature in any of my stories. Whilst I do favour a M/M romance between Holmes and Watson, I'm afraid I don't do slash, and I write Holmes as being homo-romantic but asexual. This is highly unlikely to change. ETA: OK, so that resolution lasted until Anders had other ideas. OK, yes, I'll write slash then, dammit - sometimes the characters have very different ideas to me!

Dragon Age: I've started writing the odd piece of Dragon Age 2 fanfic, inspired mostly by the fanfic writings and art of Emma Vieceli (Dragon Heir, Vampire Academy) over on DeviantART. Please note that I am not a gamer and that my writing is based purely on Emma's work and the various video snippets on YouTube!

Romeo & Juliet: Having discovered the French musical version of R&J (and subsequently the Hungarian staging of same, "Romeo es Julia", I have also been writing R&J fanfic.
