Something was amiss, and he didn't like it one bit. If he had half a brain, Inuyasha probably would've left the woman to whatever fate the gods had decided for her and took his ass back to patrolling his father's lands. But his weak human blood had him rooted to the spot, and he knew that he couldn't leave a defenseless woman to fend for her self.
